337,000 New Jobs Created, Most in Seven Months

Too bad today didn't come last Friday or the election would have been over by 9pm sharp:

WASHINGTON — The number of new jobs soared in October by the highest amount in seven months, the government said Friday, helped by a surge in construction as hurricane-racked areas in the Southeast were rebuilt. A surprisingly strong 337,000 jobs were added to payrolls last month — twice the 169,000-job growth that economists had forecast and the strongest since March, when 353,000 jobs were created, the Labor Department said.

The unemployment rate edged up to 5.5% from 5.4% in September, but that was because more people were looking for jobs, a potentially hopeful sign. Economists had expected the jobless rate to hold steady at 5.4%.

Not only was October strong, but the number of jobs created in the two prior months was revised up — to 139,000 in September fromf 96,000 and to 198,000 in August from 128,000.

Gold-plated diapers, babies.

Thanks to AS, BMC, and of course Deep Stoat for the tip.

MORE! INDC Journal crunches the numbers. Bush is ending up with positive job growth in his first term.

Heh, no wonder Paul Krugman's taking a "planned break."

SO, do we know if Bush has a net positive job creation record yet? I realize that this whole meme is ridiculous, but it does play.

OTOH. The comsumer price index hit record highs fueled almost exclusively by the unprecedented consumption of sour gra.pes in the blue states.

Ace,

Cowbell!

LOL!

Wonders if we all should send Krugman some diapers dipped in gold?? We could then wrap the diapers around a big ol' cowbell to top it off...

You're gonna want that cowbell.

That's gold-plated diapers, Ace.

PaulC,

Thanks for the correction. Loose shit today.

Now that the election is over, MSM and the left will stop their Great Depression propaganda. This will allow a Kerry-Free economic boom to occur. The best is yet to come

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network
@TCNetwork

The people in charge [Jews, of course -- ace] don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.

Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.

Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this.
He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again.
You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.

Politico is reporting that multiple people have abruptly resigned from Eric Swalwell's gubernatorial campaign: "Members of senior leadership have departed the campaign, including Courtni Pugh, a strategic adviser who served as Swalwell's top liaison to organized labor groups."

So the campaign is collapsing due to the truth of the sexual harassment allegations.
That hissing sound you hear is the air going out of the Swalwell campaign. UPDATE: No it wasn't, it was just Swalwell one-cheek-sneaking out a fart on camera
