Dick Morris Calls "Fraud" on Exit Polls

It's a serious charge-- and it needs to be investigated:

So why were the exit polls wrong?

That an exit poll is always right is an axiom of politics. It is easier to assume that a compass is not pointing north than to assume that an exit poll is incorrect. It takes a deliberate act of fraud and bias to get an exit poll wrong. Since the variables of whether or not a person will actually vote are eliminated in exit polling, it is like peeking at the answer before taking the test.

But these exit polls were wrong. And the fact that they were so totally, disastrously wrong is a national scandal. There should be a national investigation to unearth the story behind the bias.

In this election, we have seen CBS go with a story on Bush's National Guard service based on forged documents. We have seen the New York Times and CBS report 377 missing tons of explosives that were not missing, not that many tons and confiscated by American troops. And now we have seen exit polls that were wrong, quite possibly deliberately biased.

Emphasis mine.

Of course, it was fraud. The AP was in charge of exit polling.

And NOW (and again) the new, NEXT challenge--

pollsters AND ESPECIALLY the LLL MSM--
While we do Fallujah, why don't ya'll start on SEE BS and that old grey hooker???

I still despise Rather more than Kerry AND Michael Moore combined--don't think I've ever been exit polled--but if I had, I would ALWAYS "lie" like a horny rug on the floor of a mosque

Drive ALL of these LLL MSM SOBs to the humiliation altars of their respective "echo chambers" permanently

If this cycle hasn't convinced this country of THAT necessity, NOTHING. EVER. WILL.

Make SINCLAIR's "downturn" look like a "bad day hiccup" on the DOW--PERMANENTLY!!!

REAM their advertisers like a ewe in a bedouin's tent--and withold the 'goat grease'in the process

Smile and holler "squeal like a pig" like James "Deliverance" Carville all the way home!!

(ouch..wouldn't Sullivan volunteer to take that 'bullet'???)

Hang and BURN the "referees"--start the "new dynasty" now, ACE, buddy

Scuse me while I step outside and do my "happy dance" between the porta johns....heh
I MAY just take some of that "fermented" koolaide tonite---ugh

And your little dog too...my pretty.....

I have the sinking feeling that Bush will be all magnanimous and softpedal the unbelievable amount of fraud and cheating that the Dems perpetrated yesterday.

Hell, he hasn't even called out Chiraq or the UN!

(Yeah, we won, so can we go back to complaining about him again?)

Posted by: someone on November 3, 2004 06:08 AM

The only poll that counted was not a fraud.

I heard a rumor that there was going to be a party in Boston's Copley Square?

Where did all the people go?

Hello? Hello?

Two words: Heh. Heh.

Posted by: sonofnixon on November 3, 2004 07:20 AM

Even with the MSM completely in the tank for Kand stumping for Kerry, plus the full court press of personal attacks against President Bush using fraudulent documents and flat out lies, plus all of the hundreds of millions of dollars spent by the hollywood idiots and billionaire soros of the left, after the smoke clears, Bush is the only man left standing.

Maybe now ABC will just turn into the Anybody But Bush Channel and run 24hr anti-bush stories that are based on "real lies", "fake lies" "unsubstantiated rumours" and "anything" & "everything" as long as it is negative about President GW Bush.

I'm sure when the nut-house fills up soon with all of the sore-loser about the election result libersals their will be plenty of customers who'll be devoted to watching like a kind of dark underground cult.

..."Just how volatile the issue had become was seen in one Fox News exit poll finding: In Florida, one-third of voters surveyed said the CBS-New York Times "missing explosives" late hit had an effect on their vote — and they went for Kerry, 64-32."

Lest I be accused of being a selective flip flopper in my opinion of pollsters and the LLL MSM--I also realize this is Fox doing what I hate in principle....

Just like Afghanistan in the GWOT--its a "target rich" environment--start small--

Did anyone catch Dan Rather last night? I truly believe the man has become totally unhinged. I was expecting for him to get the hook. I do not have any exact transcript but he made the strangest comment regarding Karl Rove. Apparently Rove made a brief announcement to the press saying, "i have now come down from the bat cave to inform you the President Bush will carry ohio and win the election." Rather then turns to another news anchor and says, "well you worked in the white house X amount of years and I covered the white house for 10 years and never heard of any room called the bat cave. i do not what room he is refering." At this point I am yelling at the TV. You idiot it is joke. either it was meant as humor making a dig at himself and the way he is perceived in MSM or "the bat cave" is just some dark room with a lot of tv's and computer monitors. maybe both. i guess it has never occured to Dan to poke fun at yourself.

Posted by: KimR on November 3, 2004 08:14 AM

Fraud???

Yeah, Perhaps... But just maybe a lot of folks are really pissed at exit pollers, and just gave contrary answers as a quiet way of saying "up yours!"

Hey Ace--You know how big we won tonight?

Our NBC affiliate here just said Berkeley's Medical Marijuana proposal didn't pass.

That is like saying O-Dub's Filet-o-fish proposal didn't pass.

Posted by: See-Dubya on November 3, 2004 08:42 AM

Well, I guess we are going to see a mass exodus from this country with all the celebs who are leaving because Bush won, wish they would keep their promise. Wonder if the airlines has enough planes to haul them all away....

Posted by: Carl on November 3, 2004 08:55 AM

Anyone see that story on Drudge where the international monitors are complaining about voting irregularities? Someone, please pass me a piece of "who-the-fuck-care-pie." Next thing you know, we'll be hearing from Carter about this ...

Posted by: Carin on November 3, 2004 08:56 AM

I am feeling pretty good right now! My first election of prognasticating and I was pretty close and I got who I wanted in office!

Of course, the exit polls were screwed up. Did you expect the (now dead or at least buried) liberal media to not pull anything out today?

Bush won over 51% and it will finally come out (once the liberals have looked at every "disenfranchised" vote) that Bush won 285+ EV.

You were worrying way too much yesterday Ace. But look at it this way, you are now Willis' daddy in traffic and Bush has won with the Republicans picking up seats all over the place. Is it not a great day?!?

Posted by: BlueDevils on November 3, 2004 09:24 AM

DaveK, I totally agree with you. I told my husband yesterday that if anybody asked me who I voted for I'd lie my butt off about how much I loved Kerry. Because I am so ticked at the media. Screw them.

I imagine that some conservatives may have had the same thoughts.

And maybe some people lied because they didn't want any trouble from wackadoos who will try to run you down in their car because you can't see that Bush is Hitler.

Posted by: lauraw on November 3, 2004 09:27 AM

Maybe Republican voters have jobs to get back to, and don't take the time to stop and chat with the exit pollsters.

Posted by: Eric on November 3, 2004 09:40 AM

to paraphrase Eric Cartman:

"Ah, the tears of unfathomable sadness, they taste so sweet and yummy".

Posted by: elcid on November 3, 2004 09:50 AM

Kerry: " I actually won the election, before I lost it."

Posted by: Joe Mama on November 3, 2004 10:00 AM

I love the PC Commentary: "might be fraud", "we should investigate", "exit polls are almost impossible to be wrong". Why doesn't someone with some balls come right out and say it...the democrats and the media whores have all conspired to win this election with 3rd world tactics. The DNC/MSM whores, collusion is flagrant and open to public view.

I live in a small town in Oklahoma, yet even the local media whores, in a heavily Republican voting area are so pro liberal they won't even publish opposing views in the one newspaper. How is this freedom of speech when the mass media have a bigger voice?

Posted by: Ron on November 3, 2004 10:15 AM

Just heard on Fox that Kerry called Bush to concede. How about some Kim Richards cowbell, hmmmm?

The exit polling *way* oversampled women. Maybe women were more easily approached and more congenial to some stranger asking them questions about a private matter. Who knows?

Also, I’d bet almost any amount of money that exit pollsters go to polls near where they work to take samples. Who are most exit pollsters? Journalism professionals. Where do most journalism professionals who provide exit poll data work? Big cities. Which party dominates in most big cities, especially in the East where most early exit polls favored Kerry? Democratic Party. Is there an ideological component to these exit polls? Possibly. But it seems more likely that the explanation for the variance between exit polls and reality is due not to ideology but to sheer laziness and incompetence.

Even with the MSM actively in the tank for Kerry, I'm not sure I'd classify this as a case of active MSM bias.

At least until there's more evidence.

It's over!

Break out the Kim Richards!

I think Laura's right. I don't think anybody can be thrilled to answer the question honestly when you know how your answer is going to be met. It's damn uncool to be GOP. Elton John said so.

Info no one seems to speak about.
Exit polls were done by Edison Media Research of NJ, and Mitofsky International of NY. Warren Mitofsky, founder of Mitofsky International was employed by "CBS" Broadcast Company. He was the executive director of CNS News and Election division. He was also the executive producer of their Election Broadcasts.Mitofsky also worked with CNN. Mitofsy also was the founder (1975)of the CBS/New York Times Poll and directed this poll for 15 years.
Joseph Lenski worked for Warren Mitofsky before he went out on his own and started Edison Research.
I agree with Dick Morris, the exit polls and their results demand an investigation, both as an effort to violate Federal election laws and as a civil rights disinfranchisement violation.
With the machinations of CBS and other MSM the exit polls demand an investigation to determine what responsibility CBS or the DNC might have.
Dare one to say that CBS strikes again.

Posted by: Carol Macris on November 5, 2004 05:46 PM

correction : the CNS should be CBS.
Thanks

Tucker Carlson Network
@TCNetwork

The people in charge [Jews, of course -- ace] don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.

Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.

Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this.
He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again.
You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.
