NBC & ABC Call Florida For Bush!

On Fox, meanwhile, Susan Estrich is already beginning to argue the legal case for overturning the Florida vote.

ONE MORE LEFT.

Just one. One more.

Please please please please please...!

Thanks to, well, a bunch of folks for the tip.

Kim Richards?

No premature Kim Richards. Quite frankly, I had a lot of premature Kim Richards in high school, and it was hell on my self-esteem.

Waiting on the mass exodus from the kerry peeps.........

Posted by: Midaz on November 2, 2004 11:50 PM

CNN STILL ISN"T CALLING FL!!!

and I think C-SPAN is following CNN

Posted by: Rich on November 2, 2004 11:50 PM

Remember Hewitts words: If it's not close, they can't litigate.

Pray for genocide. Er, as PC a genocide as it can be to irrefutably declare Kerry the #1 loser.

Posted by: fat kid on November 2, 2004 11:51 PM

I said it once, I'll say it again.

Game 6, 1986 World Series.

You need 27 outs to win, not 26!

Posted by: Greg Schreiber on November 2, 2004 11:51 PM

The pricks at CNN won't even call Arizona - 75% reporting in with W up by 10.5 to 11%? Come on, Kerry shot his load in Pima county and came up short - he ain't gonna come up with 100,000 net votes anywhere else in the state...

Posted by: J. Wilde on November 2, 2004 11:53 PM

Just heard Dan Rather say that the "Bush momentum looked strong. John Kerry will need a 55 or 60 yard field goal to win."

Sweet

Posted by: H.D. Miller on November 2, 2004 11:54 PM

Ace, NBC still won't call Fla for Bush, even though it's now 98% and Bush is the clear winner.

In WA, with 11% vote in, and BUSH IS WINNING

UNfrickingbelievable.

Posted by: bledsoe on November 2, 2004 11:57 PM

Is Estrich high? At this point something like 97% of Florida has been reported and the margin for Bush is 52-48. That's way over the "margin of lawyer".

Posted by: Erich Schwarz on November 2, 2004 11:58 PM

C-SPAN put AZ in Bush's pile.

So I was wrong about C-SPAN following CNN. What's up with CNN?

Posted by: Rich on November 2, 2004 11:58 PM

Make that a 200-yard field goal.

Posted by: Pixy Misa on November 2, 2004 11:58 PM

So, if Bush wins FL and OH, how many more states does he need?

Reinforce those Illamas with some Camels. They can spit like nobody's business!

Posted by: BattleofthePyramids on November 2, 2004 11:59 PM

Dan Rather has 246 electoral votes for Bush. His comment? "If Bush wins Ohio, there's no way that Kerry can win." I think he coughed up a lung while saying it, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.

Posted by: physics geek on November 3, 2004 12:00 AM

CT and CO are virtually idnentical for opposite results at midnight.

CT is called for Kerry.

CO is not called .

Posted by: bledsoe on November 3, 2004 12:01 AM

"margin of lawyer"

I like that!

Posted by: Rich on November 3, 2004 12:01 AM

If Bush wins Ohio, he already has Fl. no way he can lose that, he needs the pink states he has now plus Alaska, which he should get no problem. He may get WA and NH which would put him even better but he doesn't need them.

Posted by: Carl on November 3, 2004 12:03 AM

CNN found AZ!

Posted by: Rich on November 3, 2004 12:09 AM

And FL too! There so on the ball!

Posted by: Rich on November 3, 2004 12:11 AM

come on, show us a pic of Kim...we won't tell anyone..

Posted by: Carl on November 3, 2004 12:11 AM

BUSH campaign TALKIN SHIT ON OH!!!!

Posted by: fat kid on November 3, 2004 12:11 AM

Check it out...all the counties in OHIO that are not 100% reported went BIG for Bush...so if it's more of the same from those areas....
Paulding is only county with NO reporting...and it is surrounded on all sides by Bush country, and should shortly be coming out with it's HANDS UP.

Oh man, I think I just squirted my drawers.

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/OH/P/00/county.002.html#39113

Posted by: AndrewF on November 3, 2004 12:13 AM

Correction to an earlier post. Bush only needs Ohio, plus NM and CO. That would give him 271. Alaska would give him extra and if he gets NH and WA, well so much the better.

Posted by: carl on November 3, 2004 12:13 AM

Holy cow. Gotta hold back on the cowbell, and the whatsherface.... EXERT THE RESTRAINT THAT I NO LONGER CAN! Please!

Posted by: fat kid on November 3, 2004 12:14 AM

ACE, I hope Kim Richards is waiting to post - just for you. 'Course she is a happily married woman with a bunch of kids, but for a famous yet not wealthy yet blogmaster who needs some appendage to wean him off Value-Rite vodka.....

I did respond on emailing Kim particulars on another thread and noted my success in getting some emails from my favorite Lexx stars....including that hottie "Bunny".

I do note in High School that my movie star infatuations were 2 Brit movie stars 20 years older than me - Susannah York and Julie Christie. I also confess to thinking Jane Fonda was hot, since at that age her politics were the last thing on my mind.

AS for the horserace, Bush is looking a lot better than he did at 8:00 EST. I hope if he wins, he is smart enough to understand he won because he was up against a terribly flawed contender, and he can't do 4 more years of the same. And Republicans want to prepare for Hillary and Bubba's 2008 challenge. Bill Owen, Mitt Romney, Tom Ridge Centrist with a Jesus-lovin' rattlesnake handling bible-thumping Southern understudy perhaps?

As for Kerry, the delicious thing, if he loses,it is knowing the men he betrayed 35 years ago came back at him for their lost honor and ripped the war hero bark off him, exposing the grubs and decay underneath. And, something about losing when you are so close does bad things - Nixon's paranoia rose, Carter became a freak, Bush I was never the same, and Gore went nutso. Of course Gerry Ford just shrugged, played a lot of golf, and became a multi-millionaire posing for pics with fatcats on the "Statesman" rubber chicken circuit.

I also want to see Kerry's Form 180, whether he wins or not.

Posted by: Cedarford on November 3, 2004 12:21 AM

It's clearly been too long since I watched CBS news: How long has Ed Bradley been emaciated, on death's door?

Posted by: Patton on November 3, 2004 12:27 AM

Rich,

"margin of lawyer" is plagiarized^H^H^H borrowed from Mark Steyn. Steyn is a god among men.

Posted by: Erich Schwarz on November 3, 2004 12:28 AM
I also want to see Kerry's Form 180, whether he wins or not.
Amen.
Posted by: fat kid on November 3, 2004 12:31 AM

Filet O' Fish thinks Ohio is being stolen, natch.

Posted by: Shamus on November 3, 2004 12:34 AM

I also want to see Kerry's Form 180, whether he wins or not.

Sure. Amen. Why not? And I want to see Bush's form 180 as well. You all realize that he hasn't signed his either. Don't you?

Posted by: The Batman on November 3, 2004 12:36 AM

Batman, in response to pressure from the Boston Globe, last February, Bush signed his Standard Form 180. That's where those payroll slips came from and even his dental stuff from Alabama.

No shit!

Bush signed. Kerry didn't. Dole signed. Kerry didn't. Gore signed. Kerry didn't.

Posted by: Cedarford on November 3, 2004 12:45 AM

Cedarford,

Really? What is your source - I can't find anything but hearsay. Even this article from the Washington Times states that McClellan was evasive and wouldn't say one way or the other on the question.

Anonymous -

In February 2004, Bush said the Pentagon and VA were contacted to release all records not released in 2000. The media was all over Bush when new stuff came out in June, saying "Bush lied" about releasing all records in February. And Bush spokesman said the Pentagon was dragging ass on the Presidential order to release all records.

Look - face it. Bush was a top 5-10%-er who lost his motivation to excel circa 1973. The system at the time declared he was surplus fly-boy goods, and he got out, with the Vietnam outcome pre-ordained. I was a hotshot in the 80's who got out 5 months early because my Navy billet had a surplus of hotshots and they offered me to stay 500 meters underwater for 7 months and extend - or take my grad college scholarship. It was an easy call - even if the Cold War wasn't over yet - because when the Berlin Wall fell, I was a MBA candidate and making more on my part-time job than I did in the Navy with 80-90 hr workweeks and supervisory responsibility of misc. HI IQ screwups (30%) and standouts (60%) and subpars (10%) all who I missed.

That leaves Kerry with a masked military records history. Unlike other Prez candidates. His turn. Even if he loses, I want to know how close we came to electing a dishonorable soldier....

Posted by: Cedarford on November 3, 2004 01:58 AM

Sorry, Cedarford - that anon post was me.

So, basically, you have no proof that Bush _signed_ Form 180. Correct? If so, I don't see how Bush's history is any less masked.

Posted by: The Batman on November 3, 2004 02:08 AM

Batman - I mean WTF??? What fucking proof are you looking for? Bush, Dole, Gore have signed SF 180s - Kerry has not. Do you want Gores release on PDF.acrobat? Bush's? Doles?

Even Kerry's someday?

Posted by: Cedarford on November 3, 2004 02:15 AM

Batman - I mean WTF??? What fucking proof are you looking for?

Any? Any proof at all?

You don't seem to have any. Show me one authoritative source where it states that Bush has signed this form. Seriously. I'm not trying to be an ass - but I'm not going to simply take your word for it. Sorry.

Tucker Carlson claims that it's weird that Ted Cruz is interested in the massacre of Christians by Nigerian Muslims, because he has "no track record of being interested in Christians," then blows off the massacre of Christians by Nigerian Muslims, saying it might or might not be a real concern
Tucker Carlson enjoys using the left-wing tactic of "Tactical Ignorance" to avoid taking positions on topics. Is Hamas really a terrorist organization? Tucker can't say. He hasn't looked into it enough, but "it seems like a political organization to me." Are Muslims slaughtering Christians in Nigeria? Again, Tucker just doesn't know. He hasn't examined the evidence yet. He knows every Palestinian Christian who said he was blocked from visiting holy sites in Bethlehem, but he just hasn't had the time to look into the mass slaughter of Christians in Nigeria that has been going on since (checks watch) 2009. He doesn't know, so he can't offer an opinion. Wouldn't be prudent, you know? Don't rush him! He'll sift through the evidence at some point in the future and render an opinion sometime around 2044.
Of course, if you need an opinion on Jewish Perfidy, he has all the facts at his fingertips and can give you a fully informed opinion pronto. Say, have you ever heard of the USS Liberty incident...?
You'd think that the main issue for Tucker Carlson, who pretends to be so deeply concerned about Palestinian Christians being bullied by Jews in Israel (supposedly), would be the massacre of 185,000 Christians in Nigeria itself. But no, his main problem is that Ted Cruz is talking about it, "who has no track record of being interested in Christians at all." And then he just shrugs as to whether this is even a real issue or not.
Whatever we do we must never "divide the right," huh?
Tucker is attacking Ted Cruz for bringing the issue up because he's acting as an apologist for Jihadism, and he can't cleanly admit that Jihadists are killing any Christians, anywhere. There is no daylight between him and CAIR at this point.
One might conclude that Tucker Carlson himself isn't interested in the plight of Christians -- except as they can be used as a cudgel to attack Jews.
Just gonna ask an Interesting Question myself -- why is it that Tucker Carlson's arguments all track with those shit out by Qatarian propaganda agents and the far left? That if Jews crush an ant underfoot it is worldwide news, but when Muslims slaughter Christians it elicits not even a vigorous shrug?

Greetings, Traveler. If you still have not experienced Garth Merenghi -- Author, Dream-weaver, Visionary, plus Actor -- the six episodes of his Darkplace are still available on YouTube and supposedly upscaled to HD. (Viewing it now, it doesn't appeared upscaled for shit.)
I think the second episode, "Hell Hath Fury," is the best by a good margin. Try to at least watch through to that one. It's Mereghi's incisive but nuanced take on sexism.
