Aragorn Rallies Against the Orcs?I can't link it all, but just go to the Corner and KerrySpot for a taste. It appears that the exit polls really might be entirely wrong -- and all too favorable to Kerry -- and that Bush might actually be cruising to relatively-comfortable wins in Ohio and Florida, with the shot of winning several upper midwest Gore states to boot. KerrySpot says the demeanor of the whole Fox panel has changed in the last hour. Kristol and Barnes up, Juan Williams shouting Spanish curses at the sound-man. Knock wood. Knock, knock, knock on wood, baby. Serious Problems With Exit Polls: From KerrySpot: The exit polls show the national electorate at 57% female when in 2000 it was 52/48. I'm getting more and more optimistic as the night wears on. And the sangria is smoooooooth. One short note. I'm online with a bunch of high school friends. I had thought there were maybe 3 Bush voters in the 12 of us. We did a tally, and we're 9-3 for Bush. Shocked me to hell. They were *very* closeted in their Bush support. Now that they've voted, they're piping up. I hope they're a sign of things to come. Posted by: Rob on November 2, 2004 09:42 PM

My guess: either a big AQ honcho just met his virgins, or we're rolling into Fallujah. Posted by: someone on November 2, 2004 09:47 PM
That would be so f*cking RAD (and classy) for Bush to come out with something like "OBL is dead, we killed him months ago, didn't want to bust it out prior to the election for fears of vote pandering charges". I'd f*cking SWOON. Posted by: fat kid on November 2, 2004 09:49 PM

CNN's electoral vote tracker is showing solid Bush leads in MI, WI, and MN. Things aren't looking better, things are looking great. Knock on wood, though. Definitely knock on wood. Kim Richards against my headboard knocking on wood. Posted by: Trevor on November 2, 2004 10:08 PM

I'm starting to get that same feeling I had three weeks ago here in Oz. I won't call it just yet, but it's a goooood feeling. Posted by: Pixy Misa on November 2, 2004 10:34 PM
Why wouldn't this be a VERY GOOD thing?? I still despise Rather more than Kerry AND Michael Moore combined--don't think I've ever been exit polled--but if I had, I would ALWAYS "lie" like a horny rug on the floor of a mosque Drive ALL of these LLL MSM SOBs to the humiliation altars of their respective "echo chambers" permanently If this cycle hasn't convinced this country of THAT necessity, NOTHING will Hang and BURN the "umpires"--start the "new dynasty" now, ACE, buddy Posted by: Ignore the Man Behind the Curtain on November 2, 2004 11:00 PM
I thought it was going to be even bigger for the good guys in American than it was here in OZ. But it looks as if it's going to be the same. Good enough! :D Posted by: David Blue on November 2, 2004 11:09 PM
Well, so far so good, but remember: "Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the vote decide everything" Posted by: BattleofthePyramids on November 2, 2004 11:49 PM

Lost Seventies Mystery Click: The Darkest Song Ever Recorded?
I think Professor of Rock (on YouTube) claimed this song was so upsetting that people used to pull over to the side of the road when it came on the radio. It's about a fatal plane crash, but obviously it suggests a fatal car crash too, which could wig out a driver. It's like one of those nasty 70s anti-war body horror movies. Not for the squeamish. I'm not even going to post the lyrics because they're upsetting too.

I never liked this song, but it is memorable. In a weak, annoying way. Former CIA operative John Kiriakou talks with Matt Taibbi about the Brennan/Comey Coup
Both guys are old liberals, maybe even of the far-left variety, and both are appalled by the Democrat/Deep State coup against the US. Kiriakou says that CIA officers were legally obligated to report to the Inspector General John Brennan's repeated overruling of actual intelligence to encode his partisan conspiracy theories into US intel product, but of course they didn't.
