Whatever It Takes-- And Then Some

Alarming News, quoting the Volokh "Conspiracy" (yeah, right), notes that the Democrats are determined to win by means fair or foul.

Preferably foul.

The Democrats should try to remember Mrs. Joe Anka's dying words to her son Paul: "Fucking integrity, fucking integrity, fucking integrity".

Posted by: Paul Zrimsek on October 14, 2004 03:35 PM

No they're remembering Castro's immortal words to Daniel Ortega "You lost a what?!"

Posted by: Iblis on October 14, 2004 03:48 PM

Foul is a word that goes handsomely with democrat, don't you think?

Posted by: JThomas Lowry on October 14, 2004 04:20 PM

No worries. It's all over. Dick Morris was just on O'Reilly saying that unless there's another 9/11 between now and the election, Kerry has this sewn up.

Since Dick Morris is ALWAYS wrong, that should mean Bush will be coasting into a second term.

Ace, baby: several months back, when you were dogging Andrew Sullivan, telling him to quit the coy act & to just come out with his endorsement of Kerry, I thought you were being unfair. I even thought it was YOU who was hung up on a single issue. I almost wrote you a post telling you to get over it. Boy, was I wrong. Sullivan has completely freakin' lost it. I've gone from being a money contributer to an almost-never reader of ol' Andy. I check in on him every now and then, the way I check in on Atrios: to see what the idiots are saying. Sorry for doubting you, old Ace. You da man.

Ace...

You're daughters a lesbian, man.

But Courage, though.

The Horror,

I get some of them right. Every now and again.

Incredibly, during the night, and probably for the first time ever, Norah O'Donnell admits, starting around 4:00, that maybe Biden shouldn't have cancelled all of the Trump executive orders "that really locked down the border." Seriously -- has anyone on CBS ever even allowed that possibility, except after it was clear Trump had won?

Written by Ben Meiselas:

"Chuck Todd wrote the most idiotic thing I've read today, and it perfectly encapsulates the problem with corporate media. It's also a confession. He wrote, "These confirmation hearings may just save cable TV for the short term."

You see, people like Chuck Todd and their corporate benefactors are losing relevance. Americans are sick and tired of their lazy reporting, blatant lies, "both sides" equivocations, and outright cheerleading for fascism. By ignoring the most obvious lessons of history, corporate media rooted for chaos, drama, torment, crime, and hardship, believing idiocracy and fascism would be good for ratings.

Well, here it is, Chuck Todd. And no one cares about you or your network. In fact, we hold you responsible for forcing this circus upon us.

If Senate confirmation hearings take place at all, we, the people, are not watching them on your network, Chuck."

(Found on DU, if you hadn't guessed.)
