If you read the USA Today story, it sounds like all bad news for Bush.
//////////////
The headline is:Bush's lead gets smaller in poll

By Susan Page, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — President Bush leads Sen. John Kerry by 8 points among likely voters, the USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll shows, a narrower advantage than Bush held in mid-September and one that puts him at the edge of the survey's margin of error.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\

How is USA today is running a poll with an 8 point margin or error? Got me. Anyway, the link is below. If you follow it's link to the actuall poll, it looks BAD for Kerry.

In this poll, for the 1st time, Bush actually lead Kerry on the "Who would be better" catagory for all three areas: Economy, Iraq and Terrorism.

The spin in nasty, but the numbers don't lie.
