Another "Suspiciously Timed" Intelligence Coup

My Pet Jawa's gotten a hold of NKVD Station Chief Olive Willis' latest top-secret memorandum to the Blog Vanguard.

A mole who has infiltrated into conservative circles, codenamed "AS," is prominently mentioned. We must figure out who on earth this could possibly be.

I think it must be Allah Pundit. I've never really been convinced that Allah was as anti-Muslim-terrorist as he's pretended to be.

I question the timing of your accusation.

I question your motive in questioning Ace's timing, Allah.....

Posted by: Senator PhilABuster on August 6, 2004 03:14 PM

Who is the mole??????

(thanks for link!)

Posted by: RS on August 6, 2004 03:16 PM

How typical of Sen. Phil, that he would say such a thing on Andy Warhol's birthday. Very convenient timing.

Posted by: The Commissar on August 6, 2004 03:17 PM

Does anyone have the time????

Posted by: Cowtipper on August 6, 2004 03:22 PM

Questioning my motive within three minutes of my questioning Ace's timing, Senator Phil?

What convenient timing.

Posted by: Allah on August 6, 2004 03:22 PM

Is there a bell for timing? Because if there is, then I think this thread could use more of it.

Posted by: RS on August 6, 2004 03:31 PM

For those intelligent enough to read my blog, you would have noticed that I predicted the timing of this event [from listening to Pakistani "chatter"] to occur during the first ten days of August.

Posted by: Joshua Micah Goldfarb Marshall on August 6, 2004 03:59 PM

AS is .obviously. ...

Ace/Spades.

Note the careful timing of the pre-emptive attack to deflect suspicion away, before being outed.

Posted by: cadrys on August 6, 2004 04:03 PM

Damnit.

Posted by: ace on August 6, 2004 04:04 PM

Um ... "AS?" Oliver Wilis? "Arby's Sammich?"

Posted by: Bill from INDC on August 6, 2004 04:27 PM

I question the timing of time.

Posted by: Brian B on August 6, 2004 04:45 PM

Rick James assumed room temperature in protest of the suspiscious timing of the suspicious timing accusations.

Posted by: Joe R. on August 6, 2004 05:56 PM

My informants tell me it's Zionist hooligan Adam Sandler. Or possibly Alicia Silverstone.

The Short Unhappy Life of a Russian Soldier: Why recruits die in 20-30 minutes
Interesting video. Some key parts: drones were responsible for 70-80% of all battlefield deaths in mid-2025, and I bet it's higher now. The Russian army is incredibly corrupt. Men get assigned to the most dangerous frontline units, the "Storm" units, unless they pay a superior $2,000 to be assigned to a different unit. Furthermore, there is often no real training for recruits -- commanders pocket the money that would have gone towards fuel and ammo costs incurred during training. Much "training" consists just of taking a single picture of soldiers doing something soldier-y, like fording a river, and publishing that as proof that the training was done. Even when it is done, training is only two weeks long.

Update to the video of a Russian soldier being spun around and thrown by the machinegun he was operating: The soldier was testing an old, archaic Russian machinegun intended to be mounted to a helicopter. The old gun was pressed into service as a possible anti-drone gun. The Russian army is generally depleted and being forced to bring a lot of old, unreliable weapons and platforms to the front.
Also: Ukranian drones have destroyed damaged [CBD] over 147 Russian warships and shadow fleet oil tankers in the Black Sea over the past ten days.

FDA is providing an update regarding the sample of lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms de Mexico which was reported positive on July 18, 2026. Due to the complexity in detection of Cyclospora, FDA laboratory experts re-reviewed the sample results and have concluded that the finding does not represent true amplification and should be considered a false positive. Information about the sample has been removed from the July 18, 2026, update below. FDA has notified Taylor Farms and continues working with the firm to ensure product implicated in this outbreak has been removed from the market. FDA and state partners continue to collect and analyze product samples. As of July 19, 2026, there are no confirmed positive sample results for product testing for Cyclospora.
