I couldn't believe my ears, but the CNN HN story about the Kerry bonk, er.. bounce.. actually used the "M word", McGovern. For democrats that is about as scary as being mentioned in the same sentence with Carter.

Jesus Christ, not only does the ABC story mention the apparently Constitutionally enshrined duty of the POTUS to be in charge of health care reform, it lists it in the table twice.

Here's two ways to handle it:

1) Keep your hands out of it.
2) Barring that, don't validate the dreams of scumball trial lawyers that make millions of dollars suing doctors over junk science by nominating them for vice-president.

I question the timing of this announcement.

The Bush campaign shouldn't get overly excited with this news just yet. The fact that the Kerry campaign is being compared to McGovern's still means that Kerry is in an excellent position to win either Massachusetts or Minnesota.

Bush should pull an 'Iraqi Sovereignty' again and hold the Republican Convention two days earlier than originally scheduled, as a surprise.
