God Hates Black People

What else to divine from Ray Nagin's unhinged statement?

Mayor Ray Nagin suggested Monday that Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and other storms were a sign that "God is mad at America" and at black communities, too, for tearing themselves apart with violence and political infighting.

"Surely God is mad at America. He sent us hurricane after hurricane after hurricane, and it's destroyed and put stress on this country," Nagin, who is black, said as he and other city leaders marked Martin Luther King Day.

"Surely he doesn't approve of us being in Iraq under false pretenses. But surely he is upset at black America also. We're not taking care of ourselves."

I know I'm late to this. Still, as Karol and I discussed on the show yesterday, the dextrosphere condemned Pat Robertson's vengeful-God quote. Are the lefty blogs doing the same for Nagin's nonsense?

I haven't heard a peep from the Left regarding Nagin's ongoing oral diahrrea problem.

Could there be a little Cosby in there itching to get out? Let him rant.

The NAACP and the like also refused to comment on Hillary's dumb-ass "plantation" remark. Usually they would have jumped all in that. I love the way the keg-legged bitch said at the end, in her best soul sistah voice, "and you know what I'm talkin bout."

OK, so God is mad at us for our violence against each other. Fine.

But God is mad at us for "political infighting"? Since when is "political infighting" a sin? Is this Nagin's way of saying "God hates people who criticize me"? Or maybe it's his way of saying, "God hates black people who don't vote Democratic"?

Ray's Ridiculous Racist Remarks Risks Removing Re-election Realization

Yeah, girrrrl, Miss Hillary, she be gettin' all up in dere. She a hot mess, you feelin' me?

Git down girl, go 'head, git down.

my guess is that lefty blogs will handle it pretty much the same way CNN handled it this morning: heavy on the apologetics. The reporter added commentary along these lines to the anchor "Well, you know, this mayor has been through so much in the last few months..."

Posted by: anon on January 18, 2006 01:29 PM

People should not be so arrogant as to speak for God. They're breaking the commandment about not taking God's name in vain.

Are the lefty blogs doing the same for Nagin's nonsense?

Welp, judging from the Lott vs. Dodd remark flap, no. Nope, nada, ain't gonna happen. On to the next obvious MSM entries in the game of info politics.

"But surely he is upset at black America also. We're not taking care of ourselves."

No fault of Ray's, of course...

If you look at the track record of recent natural disasters, God doesn't hate black people in particular--he just hates POOR people.

Posted by: Red Jode on January 18, 2006 02:49 PM

Nagin also thinks New Orleans should be a "chocolate city" again. Granting his premises, here's a not implausible synthesis:

If God had wanted a chocolate city, then he wouldn't have flooded out all of those "chocolate people".

Why would Nagin force God's hand again?...because...RAY NAGIN HATES BLACK PEOPLE!

Posted by: E Rey on January 18, 2006 03:22 PM

Ray Nagin: God hates black people.
Kayne West: Bush hates black people.

Ergo, George W. Bush = God?

And you thought Dick Cheney's Cock, John Bolton's Mustache, and Karl Rove's Id had all the power.

God is punishing New Orleans for election such a idiot

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network
@TCNetwork

The people in charge [Jews, of course -- ace] don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.

Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.

Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this.
He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again.
You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.

People say that the bearded man in the video of Fartwell molesting a hooker looks like Democrat Arizona Senator Rueben Gallego, said to be Swalwell's "best friend" and known to take vacations with him.
@KFILE 21m

Politico is reporting that multiple people have abruptly resigned from Eric Swalwell's gubernatorial campaign: "Members of senior leadership have departed the campaign, including Courtni Pugh, a strategic adviser who served as Swalwell's top liaison to organized labor groups."

So the campaign is collapsing due to the truth of the sexual harassment allegations.
That hissing sound you hear is the air going out of the Swalwell campaign. UPDATE: No it wasn't, it was just Swalwell one-cheek-sneaking out a fart on camera

This is super-obscure and I only barely remember it. Given that, I'll give you the hint that it's by the Red Rocker.

Oh, but it's alright with me now

Now twenty people will tell me it's not obscure, it was huge in their hometown and played at their prom. That's how it usually goes. When I linked Donnie Iris's "Love is Like a Rock," everyone said they knew that one and that his other song (which I didn't know at all) Ah Leah! was huge in their area.
