Don't believe everything you read or see on T.V. You ought to know by now how certain things are sensationalized depending on the agenda. Its rampant on both sides of the isle. I went to Winds of Change and posted a link to my post, and to the France2 newscast.

France2 is owned by the French government. Their report (in French, of course) matches the details in the blogs. It was the top story of the evening, taking up nearly 1/3 of the overseas broadcast.

Have we been able to determine the whereabouts of Chris Klien during this incident?

ONE armed citizen would have ended the party real quick.

Very sad but not very surprising. For those of us who have been saying that appeasement and lack of integration is a losing strategy and would ultimately blow up in their faces, this type of meltdown in entirely expected.

If France does not do a 180 and start cracking down on this crap and straightening out their immigration policies the France we all knew may be gone. It may already be gone.

I always liked "The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3" for subway drama.

Factual question: was the "sexual assault" actually a gang rape? Another article appeared to suggest that it was groping.

Obviously, that's not much of an excuse ("I only copped a feel! I swear!"). However, I think the distinction is significant enough to be sure we pin down exactly what happened, lest we be accused of exaggeration.

So, does that mean we can safely ignore Iraq, since so much is going on in the US?

The French are so arrogant - rubbing salt in our wounds when something happens here, but protesting when we focus on their faults.

The US, granted, isn't perfect. But as someone with non-white skin, I can vouch that American is quite willing to accept different peoples. Assimilation here is so easy and accepted. As much as the French would hate to hear it, perhaps there are some lessons to be learned from the American way of doing things.

What happens in another couple of decades when the disaffected youth population outstrips ethnic French and an election ends with a fairly modern military under the control of the same people who are currently limited to subway rampages only because they lack firepower to do anything more?
