That Sort Of Answers That

A lefty cartoonist poses a question. It's answered.

"Democracy" in Iraq is inimical to U.S. strategic interests.

Elections during occupation are a joke.

U.S. succeeds if country is partitioned, not if united by democracy.

Thats beautiful. I just hope her mom or somebody didnt really put her up to it. Im jaded.

Posted by: on December 31, 2005 04:27 PM

According to the link, I think her mom put the WHY cartoon up on the fridge, so I dunno.

Posted by: Sortelli on December 31, 2005 04:36 PM

Did you read the links? Her mom is an antiwar moonbat.

Posted by: someone on December 31, 2005 04:37 PM

Yeah i read the story. Ive just seen a lot of stories where kids make a big political statement and it turns out that their parents put them up to it. Remember the little girl who was writing letters to her father in Iraq, and the local paper published them for over a year? That whole thing was fabricated wasnt it?

Its a cool story and I hope its true.

The comments on the AJC site are disgusting.

"Freedom for whom? Freedom for American corporations to loot Iraq’s resources!"

"Our American soldiers have died to protect oil interests and to finalize the vendetta Daddy Bush failed in after evicting Hussein from Kuwait.

"We want to believe it is about freedom. It keeps us the good guys. It is about the oil."

"I really can’t imagine how those 2000 deaths have rendered any of these readers more free…beyond, of course, the fact that we’ll be free to drive our SUVs around for several years longer. I’d really like to reconfigure her letters to spell oil"

The moonbats still seriously believe that this is some kind of war for oil/SUVs/Corporations.

How f*cked up can some people be? It aggravates the crap out of me that they'll cheapen the sacrifice of the men and women dying over there simply because they hate George Bush.

That some people make money on any conflict is simply a fact of life, not evidence that this war was for profit to begin with..

The oil is in the hands of the Iraqi government, but they simply ignore that fact.

You're disgruntled, fine, we get it. But spouting this mindless crap that the sacrifice was for anything other than freeing 25,000,000 Iraqis cheapens the sacrifice.

I saw this today. It’s in the same frame of thought. You have to look twice.

Again the esteemed readers here at AoSHQ get to see what an ignorant embarrassment Mike Luckovich is. He works for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a paper I am embarrassed to admit is the largest paper in my beloved home state. Georgia is as red state as Texas, with many of the most important military bases in the country located here. The citizens of Georgia are extremely patriotic; I met fellow Georgians in every Army post I ever went. Yet the lone newspaper of our capitol city is home to some of the most shrill, partisan opinion writers I've ever seen outside of the New York Times. And Luckovich is neither talented nor funny, to boot.

Posted by: UGAdawg on December 31, 2005 08:52 PM

Dawg, better you than us... we had to put up with his crap when he was at the Times-Picayune in New Orleans. At least then, he drew more cartoons about local culture than his half-baked idiocy that you have to put up with.

He's a douchebag.

BTW, go Dawgs in the Sugar Bowl... it pains me to say it, given the fact that LSU blew it so badly in the SEC Championship... but hey, credit where credit's due.

There's hope for the future after all. Today's kids have more sense than too many hippy moonbat old pharts wanting to relive the Haight-Ashbury glory days.

Posted by: Border Reiver on December 31, 2005 11:59 PM

And Luckovich is neither talented nor funny, to boot.

Seems to be a trend amongst liberal cartoonists these days. Ted Rall anyone?

Posted by: zetetic on January 1, 2006 12:04 AM

At least Lukovich can draw. The editorial cartoonist we're cursed with can barely make a caricature look like the person it's supposed to be. Guy is simply an untalented hack.

Posted by: Slublog on January 1, 2006 12:10 AM

Posting hungover, my favorite pasttime. Zetetic, Rall doesn't qualify as a cartoonist, or even a human being for that matter. He's a walking, talking anal wart who I constantly hope will get hit by a cement truck driven by a Bush voter.
tmi3rd, thanks. We GA grads are proud of this year's team. I'm also quite pleased that LSU thoroughly thumped Miami Friday night. It says something about the SEC when the runner up is that good.

Posted by: UGAdawg on January 1, 2006 10:53 AM

I'm trying to imagine how I would feel if one of my kids came up with something similiar that was moonbatish and it became news like this.

I would be HORRIFIED.

Luckily, they aren't rebeling so far and one is as rightwing as I am and the other is apathetic towards politics because he has heard too much about it his whole life. (But he does vote Republican thank God, at least that is what he tells me) He says that alot of Repbulicans make him sick, but ALL the Democratics do.

Posted by: Rightwingsparkle on January 1, 2006 05:51 PM

Just typical of these miserble lowlife leftists scum he deserves to be exposed to the truth and watch him crumble to dust like a vampire

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network
@TCNetwork

The people in charge [Jews, of course -- ace] don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.

Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.

Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this.
He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again.
You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.
