InterestingRegarding the NSA's "special collections operation:" Some agency officials wanted nothing to do with the program, apparently fearful of participating in an illegal operation, a former senior Bush administration official said. Before the 2004 election, the official said, some N.S.A. personnel worried that the program might come under scrutiny by Congressional or criminal investigators if Senator John Kerry, the Democratic nominee, was elected president. posted by Ace at 02:18 AM
CommentsI'd say if you had a clue who these nervous nellies were, your prime pool of leaking suspects probably correlates. Posted by: Jack M. on December 18, 2005 03:25 AM
They were so nervous that they went to the NYS instead of to their own IG. Sounds like an excuse to me, folks. Posted by: rabidfox on December 18, 2005 04:09 AM
But there's no way this was politically motivated. After all, one man's leaker who wants to destroy our national security apparatus for cheap political gain is another man's heroic whistleblower. Posted by: Sean M. on December 18, 2005 04:23 AM
Uh guys.. the program WAS under Congressional scrutiny- every 45 days, in fact. This quote reveals the sources to be dishonest at best... Posted by: DaveP. on December 18, 2005 05:18 AM
And lets not forget that Richard Clarke is a 'former senior Bush administration official'. No ax to grind there. Posted by: BrewFan on December 18, 2005 07:33 AM
And let us not forget, a statute, passed by congress, authorized this. And Congress is complaining that the law was followed? Posted by: Mikey on December 18, 2005 12:59 PM
So where's the witch hunt to get these "leakers"? Posted by: Iblis on December 18, 2005 01:17 PM
Plastic Peloshi and Dusty 'brain dead' Reid have both been forced to admit that they were briefed on the operation...My, My, what a bunch of hypocrites they are. Isn't it funny how the lefties cover up everything they do and try to 'Make' a crime of everything the President does to try and save out lives. I'm more scared of the internal threat of the dim-wit traitors in congress than the terrorists. Posted by: scrapiron on December 18, 2005 03:16 PM
Maybe we are becoming degenerate like the Frnech. Posted by: hunter on December 18, 2005 04:50 PM
How about we forget who blew the whistle, who lied, who used this for political gain and start screaming at the fact that the constitution is being thrown out the window. Posted by: on December 18, 2005 06:41 PM
start screaming at the fact that the constitution is being thrown out the window Josie, When that happens we will start screaming. But it hasn't happened yet so its hypothetical, right? Posted by: BrewFan on December 18, 2005 07:02 PM
You want to see the constitution thrown out the window? Wait until the next 9/11 scale attack. Posted by: NavyGuy on December 19, 2005 12:40 PM

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals. The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite. Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
