It's The Moonbat "Gone With The Wind"I love leftist spoken-word "poetry," delivered in a self-importantly slow cadence. Doesn't everyone? Thanks to Will, who can only say, "What a tool." I don't think that's fair. He's not a tool. He's just a hump. He aspires to be a tool. posted by Ace at 07:07 PM
Comments"poetry," delivered in a self-importantly slow cadence I thought that that was how you became a poet. You have to be "slow" and be self-important. Actually using the tools of language rather than ignoring them is a waste of time, and SO jackbooted american . . . . . . . Posted by: wickedpinto on December 14, 2005 07:14 PM
I was sooo moved by his profound eloquence. Really. After this, how can any of us not be ashamed of our country? Personally, I'm moving to Canada. Especially loved the self-righteous snorts. Posted by: Michael on December 14, 2005 07:22 PM

I'll admit that I could only stand about 45 seconds of it before I ran out of patience and navigated away. But I would pay good money to see the piece performed by William Shatner. Posted by: Lapsed Leftist on December 14, 2005 07:40 PM
Here's a hint for your next gig, Chief: wait until after you do the poem to put the spike in your arm. Posted by: Monty on December 14, 2005 07:43 PM
I'm assuming the poet is Japanese because he said that the popular Japanese Prime Minister Koizume is a puppet. Also, I'm assuming the poet is not currently living in Japan because he said that the popular Japanese Prime Minister Koizume is a puppet. Posted by: adolfo velasquez on December 14, 2005 07:58 PM
I sure hope he was wearing clothes, because that would only make it weirder. Posted by: carin on December 14, 2005 07:58 PM
Eh, my post makes no sense. My point is, the poet is an idiot. I doubt that most Japanese would agree that Koizume is a puppet. From what I've heard, the Prime Minister is a mix of John Kennedy and Elvis as Prime Ministers go. Posted by: adolfo velasquez on December 14, 2005 08:00 PM
Could a nation wide tour with Cindy Sheehan be next? Coming soon, to a ditch near you! (I'll give the guy this much-- he's funnier than Margret Cho.) Posted by: roscoe k on December 14, 2005 08:04 PM

you know, all this time time, I've been the biggest supporter of President Bush and the Republicans...but, after that poem... all I gotta say is... I need some weed... Posted by: MacStansbury on December 14, 2005 08:42 PM

pony-tail + slow cadence + minority + self-righteous snort + bare chest = total moral authority Wait, I forgot to carry the 4. Let's see, hmmmmm. Sorry, bout that. The answer is total turd. Posted by: The Warden on December 14, 2005 10:00 PM
Damn, I only made it about 5 seconds. Then I tried it again and only made it 3. I didn't even get to hear any of the snorting. There's boring in the passive sense of not being any fun and then there's BORING in the active sense of sucking any life out of you until you can't take any more. This is definitely the latter for me. Posted by: Bob on December 14, 2005 10:19 PM
JFH, The last line is C-I-L-L, my landlord [beat] DEAD! But I am so impressed that someone was brought up on the same literature that I was. Ohhh, Mr. Robinson, how we miss thee. Posted by: DeeDaGo on December 14, 2005 10:36 PM

He's the dude I saw in 2000 at a party in North Hampton. When the bonfire went out he helpfully added gasoline to it and blew up the entire back porch in the process. When the fire department came all we could do to get him to put the knife down was to tell him that Vietnam was over and the hot tub was ready. ...just.....like......real.........life. Posted by: vladimir on December 14, 2005 11:11 PM
Pam, me too. 15 secs and I was gone. BTW, I love your work in "The Office". \too obscure? Posted by: Steve in Houston on December 14, 2005 11:28 PM
dude, why are we wasting time and money on peed on Korans and female strippers? just hold their eyes open and make them watch that till they tell us what we want to know. heck, I'd tell you what I know if you forced me to watch that again. in fact, I'll tell you what I know just so you WON'T make me watch that again Posted by: MacStansbury on December 14, 2005 11:28 PM

I wonder if this "HUMP" really put any thought into this, this, this pot induced blabbering? He say's So what he leads me to beleive is that while Saddam was killing his own people it made him feel what ALIVE? I love how Free people, with left leaning Idea's always just look at one side of a coin, and then feel like the rest of the world should have to listen to there self absorbed diatribe on how they FEEL! Here is some new's for the "HUMP" I can give to shit's how you feel, Now shut the F@#k up, go get a hair cut and do something productive that the rest of the world might give a shit about, like maybe BATHING?!?!?!?! And that is my lil' self absorbed diatribe. ~Jeff D. Posted by: JEff D on December 15, 2005 12:19 AM
My goodness, I hope his giant load of self-righteousness didn't cause him to sprain something. Posted by: OregonMuse on December 15, 2005 12:26 AM
My goodness, I hope his giant load of self-righteousness didn't cause him to sprain something He's talking so slowy, and with so much effort that he might be CHOKING on a giant load of something else. and have you notice he appears to be laying in a bathtub, apparently nude, and STILL looks dirty, not dirty, FILTHY, not filthy, as though he is a sausage casing filled with Dirt and Filth? I think the visual of him is a better metaphor than any of the stupid linguistic nothingness he spews. Liberals are a like a saussage, a sausage with many ingredients, a sausage of the crazy people. To understand a liberal you must understand the recipe of being a liberal. Take dirt, filth, ignorance, and ungliness, stuff it into a casing, then play monotonous music in the background while you ramble in a drunken haze, and THERE you have the PERFECT Kerry voter, or the guy with the complete Mya Angelooooooooo whatever the spelling collection. just one more post because I know you are jealous of atrios and the number if his posts. Which has made me wonder over the last week ACE, do you have Post envy? Are you jealous of the size of Atrios's post? Myself, I'm happy with my post, it has served me well. Ace has post envy, hehehe. Posted by: wickedpinto on December 15, 2005 12:53 AM
Off topic... I just got a webhost and installed WordPress. There isn't much there at the moment, but if anyone is up for testing out my comment system for me, I created an open thread (in honor of Atrios, of course). While you're at it, if anyone thinks the template I'm using sucks or something, that'd be nice to know too. BTW, the name "Dave's WONDER BLOG" is not a real name... I just needed to fill space to make sure I could drop an image on the banner etc. So... um...yeah... I'll think of a name. Okay, I suck. Please be merciful. And ace, if this annoys you I'm sorry. I just didn't know where to find people with no lives who wouldn't mind wasting a few seconds testing the comments on my craptastic little (future) site. :-)

Regarding poetry in general: I love the quote from Dirac: "In physics, we try to express something that no one has thought of before as simply as possible. In poetry, it's just the opposite." Posted by: Carl O. Witz on December 15, 2005 07:44 AM

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals. The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite. Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
