Banned a Verizon IP......for posting 10,000 word screeds in the comments. Unfortunately, this could mean that other Verizon subscribers will now also be banned. If you're on Verizon and you have a problem, please let me know. Hopefully the Unabomber dude lurking in the comments will have moved on to some other site by the time I unban it. posted by Ace at 01:10 AM
CommentsIf you're on Verizon and you have a problem, please let me know. Not to nitpick--oh, nevermind, yes I am--if someone has a problem and is banned, how will they know to let you know? heheheeee ::ducking:: Posted by: Beth on December 9, 2005 01:17 AM

Beth, It's called email-- the communication system of the future! Posted by: ace on December 9, 2005 01:25 AM
So sheer wordiness can get a fellow banned now? I'll have to watch out - When I post (which is pretty rare), I tend to show up late in threads and reply to various items that have caught my eye all in one long post. But if long posts are causing enough trouble to be ban-worthy, smaller individual posts for each such item would be easy enough, if that's the way Ace wants it (and he is the only important one on that moderator's terminal ;)). IIRC, Ace's other bans were for gross prejudice and threadjacking; happily, I've never yet felt any urge to do such things here. Posted by: Loquacious One on December 9, 2005 05:00 AM
"If you're on Verizon and you have a problem, please let me know." OK, I'm on Verizon, and I have a bit of a drinking problem... and a horse fetish too. Thanks for letting me share. Posted by: Ellis D Tecnine on December 9, 2005 09:48 AM
Ace is pretty lenient about this stuff, LO. For example, I can point out that I have photos of Ace ass-raping the still-warm corpses of his hobo-murder victims, and that's cool. Just so long as I point out that he did it like a Viking. Long comments are generally OK, I find, even well beyond the point of reason. If you were here back when Cedarford would block-quote whole chapters of Mein Kampf, you know that brevity (or relevance) is a very loosely-enforced requirement. This would have to happen just as I'm putting the finishing touches on my manifesto. Damn! Posted by: LargeBill on December 9, 2005 10:22 AM
I'm not banned yet, if that means anything. So, yeah, he's pretty lenient. Posted by: Muslihoon on December 9, 2005 11:07 AM
Prolix? Yes? Banned. Posted by: Laconic One on December 9, 2005 11:23 AM
Just don't include the word that describes the thing you have on your house that starts with something sounding like "mort" and ending in an alternate spelling for the word "guage". I crafted a truly witty and inciteful post concerning that bloated shit bag David Caruso and lost it because, I don't know, I sounded too much like I was selling "re".....wait for it...."fis". What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals. The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite. Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
