Good News for the Older, Male Ace O' Spades Readership?Upcoming National Academy of Sciences article: Scientists grow hair on bald mice. Course, by the time it's synthesized for humans, a proper delivery vehicle found and it clears the FDA, you'll be dead. But still. posted by Dr. Reo Symes at 09:32 PM
CommentsOlder male AoS readers are more likely to have pet rodents? Eh, that's so Gere-ish! Posted by: on September 27, 2005 09:45 PM
Or, we can kill the human-haired mice and wear their pelts on our heads. Posted by: OCBill on September 27, 2005 09:51 PM
Meh. I just got comfortable with my incipient baldness. Posted by: apotheosis on September 27, 2005 09:54 PM
Hair is a PITA anyway. Why would anyone spend thousands of dollars trying to grow that which they spend their whole life cutting off? Posted by: Purple Avenger on September 27, 2005 09:57 PM
I'm with Avenger, as soon as they can derma-bond a titanium skullplate onto my head, Master Bra'tac style, sign me up. Posted by: Tom on September 27, 2005 10:43 PM
Or, we can kill the human-haired mice and wear their pelts on our heads. This made me think of Babe and his, for lack of words as what to call it, hair fluff. Posted by: on September 27, 2005 10:55 PM
I remember one of the saddest days of my life was when I realized I was no longer flipping past those "and you can swim with it too" commercials, but instead was watching with at least a little bit of interest. Posted by: Allen on September 27, 2005 11:50 PM
Better to have less hair and more testosterone. Posted by: on September 28, 2005 12:25 AM
Whatever you do guys, just don't fight it. We can see that kind of vanity a mile away. At the right time, buzz cut it or shave it. Nice girls aren't going to care--unless YOU care. If we sense you freaking about it, we'll just secretly mock you. Posted by: Lipstick on September 28, 2005 12:36 AM

Not a problem for me. I can't think of a single male on either side of my family who didn't have a full head of hair when they died. Only drawback is we tend to die young, but the hair is always full on our corpses. Posted by: digitalbrownshirt on September 28, 2005 01:12 AM
I haven't had much on top since age 30 (14 years ago). My younger brother (31) is going through the hairloss right now. Major trauma. I just laugh. I don't miss it much. I guess if you're single, it's can be rough. I just need to remember the sunsceen when I jetski or swim. Otherwise, no biggie. Posted by: Log Cabin on September 28, 2005 02:05 AM
Ha! Been there, done that. Call me when the new livers and kidneys are ready, frickin stage-hogging hippies. Posted by: ArmChair in sin on September 28, 2005 06:01 AM
Yeah, hair loss is no biggie. If you're bald and having trouble with women, it's not the baldness. You either have no confidence, no sense of humor, or no job--or just picked the wrong woman. Not all of them are going to like you anyway. Lipstick pretty much sums up the reaction I've had from women. Posted by: The Unabrewer on September 28, 2005 06:33 AM
Whatever you do guys, just don't fight it. We can see that kind of vanity a mile away. At the right time, buzz cut it or shave it. Really? Cuz I always thought the chicks dug the bald on top - pony tail in back look. Hmmph, who knew? Posted by: compos mentis on September 28, 2005 09:26 AM
If an evil witch turns me into a bald mouse, I'll know where to go. Posted by: Steve O on September 28, 2005 09:46 AM
Well, there's a guy I used to see on the subway who was bald as you get but the back of hs head was perfectly flat, like they pressed it that way when he was a baby. No kidding, if I was that sad cracker I would wear a freaking mop head before I'd run around like that. Posted by: spongeworthy on September 28, 2005 10:00 AM
To be fair, Unabrewer, all your women are Shanghai hookers. Posted by: Dave at Garfield Ridge on September 28, 2005 10:11 AM
Only drawback is we tend to die young, but the hair is always full on our corpses. Sure that wasn't some kind of mold? Posted by: Nicholas Kronos on September 28, 2005 12:42 PM

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals. The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite. Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
