Some Pork To Chew On

Top secret government source Deep Stoat sends this PDF file of 6000+ pork/"earmarked" expenditures in the Transportation Bill.

Among the high-priority "infrastructure investements" absolutely requiring the expenditure of federal funds: an $18,800 smoker's lounge for a NJ airport.

I can't resist this juicy little chunk of pork: AG Gonzales isn't letting the threat of domestic terrorism divert him from the urgent task of forming an FBI Porn Squad.

(Saw this over at the Llama Butchers, who also think it's a f'in idiotic idea.)

Sigh.

I hate my job, sometimes.

This is one of those days.

If it's Newark airport, "Bravo." Anywhere else, "Oink!"

Yeah, but that's close enough to New York that they count as an endangered species.

Special flavor of PORK!

From link above:

Safavian, 38, who oversaw $300 billion in federal procurement for President George W. Bush, quit Friday after an FBI operation alleged he obstructed an investigation and tried to finagle a government deal for a friend. He was appointed in 2004.

Special flavor of PORK!

Hey don't be dissing smokers lounges. The real problem here is that we don't provide free smokes to those over 50 to cut down on the cost of social security. If we rewarded people for smoking four packs a day or more, we'd wipe out the potential social security deficit within ten years. In my case I'd have to have free cigars--Cuban would be just fine. We'd call this social security solution the hook'em and snuff'em program. Why we'd save trillions!!!!!.

whenever I see a smoker's lounge at an airport I think it's a smoker's zoo

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
