Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2

Hmmm... didn't I just cover the Mary Jo White memo last week? And how she pled to tear down Jamie Gorelick's Wall of Silence, and warned it would end in tragedy?

For some reason this story seems to be getting a second round of play... by the conservative-leaning press only, of course. I guess the NY Post actually obtained the memo it had previously only heard about.

At the risk of hearing "That's old"....

August 17, 2005 -- PRESIDENT Bill Clinton's team ignored dire warnings that its approach to terrorism was "very dangerous" and could have "deadly results," according to a blistering memo just obtained by The Post.
Then-Manhattan U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White wrote the memo as she pleaded in vain with Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick to tear down the wall between intelligence and prosecutors, a wall that went beyond legal requirements.

Looking back after 9/11, the memo makes for eerie reading — because White's team foresaw, years in advance, that the Clinton-era wall would make it tougher to stop mass murder.

"This is not an area where it is safe or prudent to build unnecessary walls or to compartmentalize our knowledge of any possible players, plans or activities," wrote White, herself a Clinton appointee.

"The single biggest mistake we can make in attempting to combat terrorism is to insulate the criminal side of the house from the intelligence side of the house, unless such insulation is absolutely necessary. Excessive conservatism . . . can have deadly results."

She added: "We must face the reality that the way we are proceeding now is inherently and in actuality very dangerous."

White must have felt like Cassandra, foreseeing dangers that proved all too real while no one at Clinton's Justice Department would listen. Team Clinton put up the "wall" in 1995 and it stayed up until after the 9/11 attacks.

What's most interesting is that we now have, for the first time as far as I can recollect, a plausible motive for Sandy 'Socks' Burger's ridiculous behavior. I wonder if any of this changes his plea deal?

I'm wondering if these Able Danger Reports have more evidence of the actions of Iraqi intelligence to conduct terrorist attacks against us.
This would really undermine the libs.

Ace-- from the Corner coverage this morning, it looks as if this is a *different* White memo, one that came out six months after the one everyone already knows about.

Captain Ed is saying the same thing. This is a new memo, and it really doesn't cast Gorelick or the Clintons in a good light.

The boy who would be President.
As one wag characterized it: "Most men grew into the office of President. Clinton shrank the office to fit himself."

Clinton = Treason.
We'll all be dust when historians confirm it.

they won't be able to bottle-up the story.

I think not. The American Thinker better think again. Don Clintioni and the Clintonistas have gotten clean away with it so far. I fear this story has already been still born. If it didn't make a circus during the hearings when Goerlick had the brazen balls to sit upon the commission charged with investigating 911 when her actions played such a large part in this tragedy, why should the MSM stop covering it up now?

If Republicans had done what the First Felon, Sandy Burgler, Jamie "the wall" et al. had done in this sad story, they'd have been lynched by the media or in prison right now. And after we do what we can by emailing and writing the MSM and the powers that be about it all, we must rest assured that, though not all sins go unpunished in this life, none do in the next. They shall all get exactly what's coming to them. For as they shall all find to their great dismay: Homey don't play 'dat.

The NYT is running it now '72' - the cat is out of the bag for good now.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
