Actually, this post at Vodkapundit contains a longer excerpt from the same interview, along with a link to the full interview over at NRO. Reading the full interview, it's painfully clear that when God was speaking, Pelosi wasn't listening. She obviously has no idea about: A) The significance of the Kelo decision; or B) the provisions of the House resolution on Kelo the reporter was asking about.

I've always found it extremely difficult to follow Pelosi's thought processes, sort of like trying to figure out what President Kerry would have done in the War on Terror. In both cases, I'm beginning to acknowledge what I should have seen all along: God help them, these people just aren't that bright.

Their inability to coherently explain their positions to the benighted masses is simply evidence of their superior level of intellect and more nuanced understanding of the complexity of the issues.

I really loved this statement:

Apparently she fails to comprehend that seperation of powers means that the courts have no guarantee of funding, as only Congress controls the purse.
I mean the Constitution appoints the president as C-in-C. Does that mean Congress must give him all the defense spending he wants?

Norden: Actually, you're close. Theology is relevant only in that the only gods that count to Pelosi, Reid & Co. are themselves. Their theology makes them gods (we used to call them tinhorns), and whatever they think or believe is what the rest of us beggars are too dumb to understand. That's why they have to lead us around like children.

For whatever "good" they may have accomplished in their pitiful lives, it isn't worth the powder to blow them to the permanent hell they try to put the rest of us in daily.
