Ex-hostage hires bounty hunters

A HOSTAGE held alongside Australian Douglas Wood in Iraq has hired bounty hunters to track down his former captors, promising to eliminate them one by one.

Swede Ulf Hjertstrom, who was held for several weeks with Mr Wood in Baghdad, was released by his kidnappers on May 30.

Mr Hjertstrom has since claimed he shared information with US and Iraqi troops about Mr Wood which led to the release of the 63-year-old Australian engineers two weeks ago, after 47 days in captivity.

Now, he wants to find those responsible.

"I have now put some people to work to find these bastards," he told the Ten Network today.

"I invested about $50,000 so far and we will get them one by one."

Does it mean that one has lost the sensation of touch? Does it mean that one does not get upset or easily hurt by what others may think or say? Does it mean that one tells the truth forthrightly instead of hiding behind the excuse that it may hurt soneone's "feelings?"

Being "sensitive", like being "offended," is a very recent Liberal creation designed to attack others by applying to them a vague and undefined standard of "hatefulness." Behind it is the soft, squishy implication that "hateful" speech is next to speech that advocates violence, and behind that is the implication that all speech that calls for violence is, or should be, illegal. It also builds vaguely on the prepostorous notion from psychobabble that the normal day to day emotional bumping against each is not good, not normal and must be changed! The frightening part of this is that Liberals are prepared to use the cohercive power of the state to enforce the fantastic notion that "hate speech" must be eradicated! Of course, Liberals can't ever say anything "hateful" and are the sole arbitors of what exactly constititues "hate speech" and what does not. This vague, arbirary, and undefined concept of being "hateful" or "insensitive" is actually nothing more than another Liberal bludgeon with which to beat consevatives with (or so they think.) Which is actually the whole point anyway.

Another reporter, writing for either the Age or the Sydney Herald, accused Wood of faking the injuries that could be seen in one of the videos made by his kidnappers. Wood is a stand-up guy, like most Aussies, but their lefties manage to make the moonbaticus borealis variety we're afflicted with up here in the States look good by comparison.
