Conservatives Continue Hyping Hate-Hillary Book... By Ripping It A New One

Only Tony Blankley seems to like it. Chances are, he's a friend of Klein's. Hey-- people say nice things about books written by people they know.

John From Wuzzadem has a real scoop on his hands-- the cover to Klein's follow-up, this one all about crazy flag-burnin' Hillary!

Earlier today, Sullivan made his first tentative move towards supporting Hillary in '08. Can't wait.

Conservatives Continue Hyping Hate-Hillary Book... By Ripping It A New One . . .

. . . because it's politically advantagous to do so. I would like to see one of you actually read the book and review it independently. Otherwise, it's just political hackery from my ownside.

Posted by: on June 23, 2005 03:58 PM

Thanks for the link, big guy.

Wow, looks like Ed Klein is doing some "guerilla marketing," challenging people to buy his book before they trash it. Smart move.

Posted by: John from WuzzaDem on June 23, 2005 04:03 PM

I ridiculed the critics for trashing the Swift Boat book without reading it so it is only fair that I question my own side for trashing a book without reading it.

Posted by: Dman on June 23, 2005 04:58 PM

Hey, I've read a couple of the 'Dark Side of the Clintons' books, but Klein harpooned himself with the "Bill raped Hillary" allegation.

Posted by: John from WuzzaDem on June 23, 2005 05:12 PM

Ace, O/T, but what's your take on the Rove comments?

Seems to me like a gaffe-- if you accept the classic Washington definition of a gaffe as "accidently saying something you believe."

I just love how the Dems are now screaming over this, when just last week they couldn't care less about what Dickie Durbin said.

Of course, unlike Dim-Bulb Dickie, what Rove said has the added virtue of being *true*, so maybe it's only the truth that hurts.

Cheers,
Dave at Garfield Ridge

OT: Now how does Dave know ace does his best thinking naked?

Posted by: on June 23, 2005 05:42 PM

Between the Rove non-issue, Kennedy's stupid comments to Rumsfeld, and the Kelo decison, yesterday was another head-shaker for conservatives.

I'm in the process of reading the thing, now.

Well, yeah, the subject matter is over the top.
But perhaps, that's the point.

Ya see, there are many who think the fantastic can't possibly be true.
And that's a dangerous mindset, that allows fantastic crimes to be worked against us. Who, for example, on 9/10/01 would have considered what happened on 9/11 to be possible? Surely, it was too fantastic to be true.

And here's the thing; The descriptions and accounts I've read in the book so far are quite plausable, and fit with what we know of the woman's personality.

In a question of which of the two situations... the 9/11 attacks and Hillary pulling the stuff as described in this book, I would consider less beleiveable, the 9/11 attacks. And the sad truth is, so too would the majority of Americans, which is why this book is getting the attention it is.

That said, I'll review the book when I'm done with it.

But my advise to those on the right; Chill.
Let this stuff play out. With this woman the fantastic is all too often, true.

I don't hear anyone on the left talking about the hordes of BULLSHIT books about Bush. Waaaaahhhh for them. It probably is a crappy book, but I'll buy it, JUST BECAUSE. I might not even read the damn thing, but I'll buy it just to feel like I've poked a liberal in the eye.

okey dokie, nameles one "at June 23, 2005 03:58 PM": review here

And the "Bill raped Hillary" bit wasn't what Klein claimed.

Posted by: Claire on June 26, 2005 03:19 PM

Well, thanks, Claire. I read your review. You said if you had to read only one 'Hillary' book, you wouldn't recommend it. Are there others you do recommend? Though, frankly, I wouldn't read any Hillary book unless someone paid me. Too much lesbian-marxist politics for me. (Shudder.)

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network
@TCNetwork

The people in charge [Jews, of course -- ace] don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.

Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.

Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this.
He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again.
You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.
