If You Liked The Democrats' Policy On Criminals' Rights, You'll Love Their Policy on Terrrorists' Rights

Nancy Pelosi asks the typical questions:

The treatment of detainees is a taint on our country's reputation, especially in the Muslim world, and there are many questions that must be answered. These questions are important because the safety of our country depends on our reputation and how we are viewed, especially in the Muslim world.
There are many questions that have gone unanswered: What was the atmosphere created that permitted detainee abuse, and why was it tolerated? What was the training and supervision of the troops? Who had this responsibility? What is it that the Republicans are trying to hide? How far up the chain of command does this go? Why is the Secretary of Defense not taking responsibility? This happened on his watch.

Many of the detainees have been in U.S. custody since October 2001. Why have they been in custody for nearly four years without being charged? Why has so little been done to resolve the status of the detainees?

Again, if you want to "raise questions" and you're "demanding answers," let me ask Nancy a couple myself:

What coercive techniques do you specifically approve of?

Why would you release enemy soldiers, "charged" with a crime or not, before the war is over? Where in the Geneva Protocols do you read that captured enemy fighters are to be released if they are not convicted of a crime? Has this ever occurred in any previous war (apart from voluntary prisoner exchanges and hardship cases, etc.)?

Once again, I don't expect answers, and I don't expect the MSM -- which loves "raising questions" -- to actually raise any to the left.

Let Pelosi, Jerrold Nadler, Durbin, Schumer, Feingold, McDermott, Boxer, Lautenberg, Teddy, Waxman, Levin have their hearings and express their solidarity with the "precious civil and criminal" rights of radical Islamoids that reject the Hague and Geneva Conventions.

We called Nazi Germany our enemy despite the fact that all Nazis were not "radicals". Many Nazis were moderates. Most Germans, in fact, were not Nazis at all.

But all were afraid to challenge the radicals and went along....and suffered the consequences.

Playing with fire? Possibly, but when the MSM is waiting in the wings ready to cover their ass with a fire extinguisher and blanket, it's what the Dems do best of recent.

If they go to far, they can rely on the media to either cover up, tone down, or just aid in explaining their case as needed.

Liberals whine about the USA Patriot Act. Did you hear one word from them when the exact same law enforcement tools were used against drug dealers. Are dealers more dangerous?

They moan about rendition. Did they care when Clinton did it? Did we ever even read about it in the paper then?

Shock and Awe seems to be a curse of sorts to them. What did they call Clinton's waste of hundreds of cruise missiles in Iraq? Fireworks?

Why take them at their word now? Who really believes more than about 6 lefties give two shits about these prisoners. Hell, I think they're happy these guys are out of the picture but they want to reserve the right to perch on the moral high ground and preen for their friends.
