Better stick to the "American Idol" blog. If you slighted a faithful "Deadwood" fan like this, I hear them folks can use some mighty harsh language.

Monk is great. Tony Shalhoub absolutely owns that show. I was sorry when Bitty Schramm left the show, though; that whole dynamic between Sharona and Monk was priceless. (Plus she had that "Italian Dirty Girl" vibe that set my slacks all afluster. Her boobs could pop the pennies off a dead man's eyes.)

Got the first two seasons on DVD and am waiting anxiously for the third because I always miss the show on USA network.

I went to school with that Christopher Nelson guy. After 4 years of liberal arts, you can bullshit about the "complex character arc" of Scooby-Doo, let alone the Duke boys.

I really loved it when George Peppard was asked in an interview why there were no women on the A-Team. His response: it wasn't realistic to have a woman doing the sorts of things the A-Team did. Uh, yeah, like all that stuff they did on the A-Team was SOOO realistic!

And I quite proudly say that I have NEVER seen an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard, hence my IQ has not been adversely affected. It was bad then, and I can't believe they're making a movie out of it now. Has there been any more word on whether or not the General Lee will have the Confederate Flag on its roof? Or did they bow to political correctness and keep it off?

Hey, Ace if you're gonna blog about Riptide and The A-Team , not pick some other Stephen J. Cannell series, e.g. Silk Stalkings and 21 Jump Street.

I guess the better question is which Cannell offerings would you NOT want to blog about.

Robot Chicken would have to be my choice of shows to blog. I get a hernia from laughing at every episode.

Ace, if you haven't seen it, you DEFINIETLY need to check it out.

MST3K would be a great show to blog. If they offered me that one, I might settle for as little as $50,000 a year.

Phinn, I would rather slam the truck lid on my dick than watch another episode of The West Wing.

For what it's worth I know the guy that got the DoH job. He used to live here in Austin and play in a band called Foggy Mountain Cop Killin' Boys. He's very creative and perfect for the job of "make up funny/interesting observances about the Dukes."

Humorous exaggeration is one thing, but dude! One summer I helped out on my uncle's farm, and got kicked in the yarbles by a horse (not full on, thank the ever loving God). The exquisite pain and lingering agony of that episode has forever left me immune to hyperbole vis a vis insults to the male organ.

I personally would sit through an entire season-set DVD run of The West Wing, with commentary turned on, before I would go through that again.

Deadwood jumped the shark? No way, you mother-dipping squarehead cocksucker!!

Though they did kill off 2 great characters superbly acted too fast in the 1st Season - Wild Bill Hickock (Keith Carradine) and Flora the Evil Child Whore (Kristen Bell of Veronica Mars).

And this season, every episode, E.B. only provokes bloodlust. Kill him already!! But they wouldn't.

So, bbeck, if you never watched a single DOH episode, how do you know what the General Lee looks like? How would you even know the name of the car? Something is fishy here. Maybe you're just a redneck trailer park girl who loved the show and is ashamed to admit it. Hmmmmm?

I'll stick up for bbeck on this one, Michael--that's the kind of manly, chivalrous thing we learned to do back when I went to school. I've never seen an episode of DoH either, but I feel like I know all about the show--the General Lee, Daisy Duke's short-shorts, and all the rest. (To be honest, everything after Daisy Duke's shorts is kind of vague.) Given the cultural environment we live in you can't help picking this crap up, regardless of how little interest it might hold for you.

Come on, The Dukes of Hazzard was hilarious. I watched it and I'd watch it again.
