I Knew I Shouldn't Have Used the Word "Douchebag:" Bloggers Being Hired By Corporations

If you've kept it clean and noncontroversial, there may be a 50-70 K job out there waiting for you.

Blogging about advances in mobile phone technology. Or in popcorn technology.

Sounds like a scream.

On the other hand, there's money.

Thanks to FatKid.

Ah hell Ace, 70K ain't nothing compared to what you'll be makin' once you hit the big time! You just keep doin' what you have been and you'll be there in 3, maybe 4 decades.

As one "uncontroversial" blogger said, screw 'em. I don't need their stinkin' blood-- uh, I mean blog money.

Besides, the Corporations are behind the ape threat-- I just *know* it.

Don't kid yourself-- it's only a matter of time until they outsource our jobs to the orangutans.

Thankfully, my tinfoil cap keeps me safe from their "primate rays."

Cheers,

These are the meanest first 3 comments I think I"ve ever seen.

I know. Douchebags abound.

If you've kept it clean...okay, I'm out.

I wonder if this idea is going to have any legs. I don't really see an uncontroversial blog about popcorn justifying its expense in terms of advertisement. How many hits would such a site get in a day?

In fact, they'd get a LOT more hits if they had a li'l controversy.

"In fact, they'd get a LOT more hits if they had a li'l controversy."

That's why Ace told me and Cedar to post so much outrageous stuff.

Uh, I mean, that's why I read this site so often.

Well Ace, I heard there's an opening for a feminine hygene blog.

NRO just noted that some guy has been hired to host the official "Dukes of Hazzard" blog. The job has an annual salary of 100K.

Sadly, I don't think the D&D folks are going to be able to match that.

It is the end of civilization as we know it.

Appropos of nothing at all,

When my eldest daughter was 2, and we were driving to my mom and dad's, some guy veered in front of me, and I muttered "douchebag".

Loud enough for my girl to hear it, and begin repeating it. "Douchebag, douchebag, douchebag"!

It took me 30 miles to get her to stop. I just did not want to see the look my mother was going to give me once Jessica uttered that word.

1988.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
