You Say Peoples Gonna Get Third-Degree Burns?

We've all wanted to do it-- grab a couple of long fluorescent bulb tubes, fill them with gasoline, set them ablaze, and have a "light-saber" contest.

Wouldn't that be an awful lot of fun?

Well, actually, no. Not so much.

On the one hand, this is very sad.

On the other hand, these people are complete idiots.

Think of Darwinian evolution as a genetic self-correction mechanism. These people were obviously too stupid to be allowed to breed.

In other geek-related news, Fox may bring back Futurama, which would roughly double the amount of watchable material on television.

Saw this over at the Llama Butchers, who raise the interesting question of who's hotter, Leela or Amy. Personally, I'm down with Amy.

I agree with Monty, it is sad that they are so badly hurt. Sad too that they are complete knuckleheads.

I just read it quickly, so I may have missed it, but I wonder if alcohol was involved? It's often prominently featured in such "hey y'all, watch this!" stories.

No, it should be, "Yousa tinken yousa people gonna git tird-degree burns?"

(Which once again makes me wonder what the hell was Lucas thinking. During a supposedly disturbing scene where Queen Amidala seems powerless to stop an attack on Naboo, the dorky cartoon character asks her, "Yousa tinken yousa people gonna die?" And that helps the movie...how? Argh. Thanks for the bad memories.)

Why would you put gas in fluorescent tubes? What were they thinking would happen?
