Peter Jennings Diagnosed With Lung Cancer

Thoughts and prayers for him. He's a political opponent, but not an enemy.

Sad news tipped by Johnny.

I wish Jennings the best health-wise, as no one should wish cancer on anyone. (or at least anyone so demonstrably non-evil as Jennings). Godspeed on the recovery, chap.

However, I do wonder where he is going to be treated, here or in his home of Canadia?

Universal health care probably doesn't sound so good to Mr. Jennings now, one assumes.

good luck on his recovery, it sounds like he will be staying on as anchor for ABC news btw, not time to join Brokaw and rather at the MSM retirement home just yet

Lung cancer took my father. It's a particularly nasty way to go. I wish him all the best. And a cogent comment above about Canadian health care...wanna bet that will get any play in the MSM? Not likely.

Coldcuts? He's BACK!?!

His home, now, is the US, as he became a citizen last year, but he'd surely be treated in the US either way, I'd guess.

He's one of the most pleasant of the folks with whose views and undertones I'd regularly disagree, but even if that weren't the case, I'd still wish him the best in this fight.
