Asshats

First Kevin Drum calls election numbers in the absence of election numbers.

Here, the DUers explore their own feelings on the matter, finding the first elections in Iraq's 9,000 (give or take a thousand) year history to be "not impressive," and "total bullshit."

Here, Ramsey Clark defends Saddam Hussein from the "illegal occupying power that demonized [him]."

Quite a night.

UPDATE: Wuzzadem nails the puppets.

Really now, isn't this just amazing?

I haven't had this feeling since wacthing Germans taking hammers to the Wall.

Just the *rush* of happiness is incredible, especially when one considers I'm just as stupid American sitting in my warm Virginia home, thousands of miles away.

We've got a long war left to fight, and there are no guarantees we will win it.

But in a long string of trying days, today was a good day.

I think I'm going to pour myself a drink and celebrate.

Cheers,
Dave at Garfield Ridge

Yeah, a drink sounds good.

Jordan,

Sorry, I didn't see your update. I actually posted here before I did on my site. Unfortunately, I discovered that combining '/blockquote' and 'Extended Excerpt' works for your post, but it blows out everything under the post. Every post under mine spanned the whole page, overlapping with the ads, blogroll, etc.

I was trying to figure out how to blame you, but luckily (for you) I got it fixed.

Thanks.

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals.
The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite.
Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
