The Porn Look Is In [Say Anything]

This could be what your little girl wants to wear to the prom.

Prom Dress

January 24, 2005 -- PROM princess or porn queen?

This prom dress is so skimpy, even the designer's CEO wouldn't let his teenage daughter wear it. But the dangerously revealing gown, prominently advertised in Seventeen Prom, YM Prom and Teen Prom, and on sale in a Midtown shop, is a top seller for the company this season.

"I was shocked when I first saw it, but now it's one of our top 20 dresses nationwide," says Nick Yeh, the CEO of Xcite, the Stafford, Texas, company that designed the dress and some 200 other styles this season.

"I have a 15-year-old daughter and, no, I would not recommend she wear this dress.

"As a businessman," he adds, "I'm not judging what a teenager should wear or not wear. It's up to the parents to decide for their own children."

Want to know why our kids are having so much sex these days? Its not the movies or the celebrities causing it. Look no further than the bolded statement above if you want to see the real reason.

Parental apathy is a terrible thing.

Update:

According to the dress company website, this particular dress comes in sizes up to 30.

Now that's offensive.

Update:

Looks like the New York Post might have had the story backwards. Literally.

Did the porn look ever go out?

Posted by: ace on January 24, 2005 10:35 PM

Yikes! Parents, don't let your daughters dress like hookers! And you're right -- dress like a sexpot, and you're much more likely to act like a sexpot...

That photo looked wrong, so I looked up the real deal here.

It's skimpy, but not outrageous. The only digusting thing is that this dress comes in sizes up to 30.

Ghetto prom anyone?

Hi Nate,

I checked out that site showing the prom dresses. Even though the dresses are not as revealing as the one in the picture above, they are still innapropriate for young girs, in my opinion. But then again, what do you expect when most evening gowns, and wedding gowns are nothing more than high priced negligees in different colors.

Posted by: Zelda on January 24, 2005 11:08 PM

Well, it's the same dress in both pics, but the young girl in this pic has it pushed out for max cleavage (if you could call THAT cleavage, I'd call it cleavage-in-training). In other words, the dress could be worn with full coverage or without taste, and either way it's both ugly and inappropriate.

I think parents are the first line of defense here, but the schools should also be setting some kind of dress code so the girls (and boys) whose parents don't care will keep themselves covered up.

Later,
bbeck

It's me. I'm a friggin machine. Hahahahaha.

Size 30?! I thought after size 16 dresses were labeled, in ascending order, Vietnamese potbelly pig (try putting that on a label), warthog, walrus, humpback whale and blue whale. Since when did they start giving them numbers? Geez, I'm getting old.

I tried a variant of this dress on while shopping for a grad dress and I hate it--I'm the kind of gurl who covers up in something WAAAAY more comfortable and more sensible. The porn star look is absolutely trashy and just imagine some pervert peeping at your 'lil girl's boobs when she's changing into it. Scary, eh? this kind of dress SHOULD be banned! Better limit the amount of clevage showing--a better way to save some embarrassment for both parents and kid!

Tomorrow is March 25th, "Tolkien Reading Day," because March 25th is the day when the Ring is destroyed in the book. I think I'm going to start the Hobbit tomorrow and read all four books this time.
The only bad part of the trilogy are the Frodo/Sam chapters in The Two Towers. They're repetitive, slow, and mostly about the weather and terrain. But most everything else is good. Weirdly, the Frodo-Sam chapters in Return of the King are exciting and action-packed and among the best in the trilogy. (Though the chapters with everyone else in Return of the King get pretty slow again. Mostly people talking about marching towards war, and then marching towards war.)

It's a heavily armored (the pilot sits in a titanim bathtub) slow-and-low loitering plane with a massive minigun firing depleted uranium rounds. The capability it brings is the ability to just fly big circles over the country waiting for a target to present itself. This is a weapons platform for eliminating vehicles and personnel. Its first task might be strafing the seas, clearing out any remaining attack boats and minelayers.
Update: My ballpark estimate for a reasonable cost for a wildlife overpass (suitably padded to sate the thirst of Democrat grifters) was $15 million. Turns out, that was a good estimate. That's how much it cost Denver to build one.

Some people liked Candace Owens because she was a black woman who told hard truths about BLM and black criminality. But this was always a grift. She started out as a race hustler for a grift, then hustled race the other way to grift conservatives, and now she's back to being a race-hustler for the left again. Specifically, she is now claiming that people pointing out that she is legitimately low-IQ and can't pronounce half the words her AI-generated teleprompter script points out to her is racist and just Ben Shapiro's way of saying the n-word without quite saying it. You see, you can only say that black people are smart, and if you see a dumb one that doesn't know how to pronounce simple words while she poses as an investigatory journalist, you have to pretend she's actually smart or you're a racist. Weird, that doesn't sound very conservative, let alone "#Based," to me. To prove how much she hates racism, she then says that Ben Shapiro's Jew ancestors were masters of the slave trade.
