Catholic Archbishop of Mosul Captured By Terrorists

My Pet Jawa has the bad news.

Savages.

I can understand animals behaving as animals do. I have more trouble understanding how the rest of the world -- including "enlightened" Europe -- continues to treat these vicious monsters as if they're a legitimate resistance movement.

Kind of like proactive Gandhis.

Ace, you simpleton. Don't you understand the nuanced media position that it's the United States' fault that archbishop was kidnapped? If not for American warmongering, the Archbishop would be happily flying his kite and swinging in his playground swing, like the little girl in "F911."

It's awful how some people just don't get it, isn't it? A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.

On a similar note, I assume you are equally outraged that we allowed Mark Thatcher into the country this week without a second thought ?

Ah, this is a dog bites man kinda story. There's nothing new about Muslims persecuting Christians. That's why its going to fade away, just like the story of the family in New Jersey that got sliced up by these guys.
Oh, there'll be a splash if they find the poor bastard sans head, but nothing will come of it. Aside from Christians being purged from another Muslim country.
I wonder what 'd happen if the Chrisitians start purging back?

I'm outraged Adamant! No doubt Terry McAwful is bringing him here to engineer a coup! The bastards!

Ace, I think your "proactive Ghandi" quip is actually quite on the mark. That's how they see it - just one more "native son" doing his part to drive off the colonial regime.

The Euro's have a MASSIVE guilt complex (along with several others, I'm sure, but I'm not a psychiatrist). I think it blinds them to the realities on the ground.

Maybe this'll wake up the Vatican.

OK, fat chance, I know.

Posted by: someone on January 17, 2005 05:16 PM

Of course the Vatican will feel particularly aggrieved considering how strongly they have spoken out against terrorism in Ireland....oh, wait. No, scrub that.

Posted by: Adamant on January 17, 2005 05:32 PM

Iblis is right. This is dog bites man.

Christians are being purged throughout the Muslim word, as Jews have been. We can see the beginnings of it in Europe, which demographics will also soon make part of the Muslim world.

Nothing really happened as a result of the jihad-motivated slaughter of Theo Van Gogh. So if the Old Europeans don't object to this being done to themselves, why would they object to jihad actions being done to a brown native from one of those foreign countries they think even less of?

Old Europe is dying, Old Europe is dead. And the heart died first.

We don't have too much to sneer about. It could happen next in Sydney or New Jersey. Oh wait . . .

David Blue, get real. A majority of Dutch do object. Ever heard of Geert Wilders, member of the Dutch parliament, who was on Fox last week? Up to ten of the twelve jihad radicals connected to the Van Gogh slaughter have been arrested. The Dutch law has been changed since 9/11 to keep these freaks behind bars. Unfortunately, the suspected mastermind of this cell is still at large.

Check the news in Spain. More islam terrorist suspects are currently being captured than ETA terrorists. Check the news in Germany. They've actually ousted an imam out of the country based on his slander. Could the US do that if the imam would base himself on the right of Free Speech? I doubt it.

Bashing Europe is silly. It's the closest thing you have for an ally.

It is nothing short of miraculous that Archbishop Basile Georges Casmoussa was released. Many fully expected his head on a platter. But just as when Pope John Paul was shot by the KGB and recovered, this is a moment for joy, and to Praise God!

Ami Kozak: Every single Tucker Carlson episode consists of him claiming he didn't say the things he said in the last episode
Also: this is the manipulation Tucker does that i hate the most. It's so cowardly. All he does is smear people (and Jews, generally), and then claim "I have nothing against [the person or group I just smeared.]" He'll even claim "I love [x], actually." Just again and again and again. It's all a lie, of course. A year ago he smeared Jews but added how beautiful he thought Israel was, and then two weeks ago, he said Israel is ugly as dog-shit and nothing beautiful has been built there "since 1948."
Just got this email from Dracula: "I love Van Helsing, actually, he's one of my personal heroes, if I'm being honest. I will claw the heart out of his belly and bathe in his blood before the children of Babylon, but I have nothing but respect for Van Helsing, actually. Love is the answer. Except for the followers of the Christ whom I am commanded to turn into my dark army of Satan. And I totally don't worship Satan, I just think we should listen to both sides. Hugs and kisses, may Van Helsing burn in the blood-red fires of hell throughout eternity, even though I consider him a close and dear friend, Vlad called Dracul."
