Bloggers: ABC's "People of the Year"

Not really worth reading, even if you are a blogger and want a little ego-stroke.

This is maddening: The article tries to explain how bloggers have shaped the public debate.

Of the following, which do you think is mentioned, and which is not mentioned at all:

1) the largely left-wing attack on Trent Lott for his allegedly "racially insensitve" comments about Strom Thurmond

2) the largely right-wing attack on Dan Rather's use of forged documents to attempt to unseat a sitting President before an national election

I'll give you a hint: this is ABfuckin'C News we're talking about.

Their source for this interview: an 11 year old boy!

Why did they even bother?!

There's no depth to the article.
No mention of the obvious.
No interviews with the movers and shakers of the blog world.

Again, why did they bother?

Dear ABC News,

I want my two minutes back.

Sincerely,

Brian B

Didn't I *tell* you it wasn't worth reading?

Who are you watching?

And whaddaya know, the fact that the Trent Lott thing was started by conservative--or at least non-leftist--bloggers completely eluded ABC's researchers.

LOL:
Somebody should write a book about the greatest drinking stories of O'Toole, Burton, Harris, and Caine. One of my faves was Richard Harris went on a six week bender in the South of France without telling wifey. Upon return, she's screaming, and he simply replied "why didn't you pay the ransom"?
