Actually, he was more like Treacher's foreign exchange student/prisoner. Puce was virulently anti-Bush, and so he escaped to Ohio in order to try to persuade the Clark County voters that the Guardian was going after (remember that?)

Fortunately, Puce was rescued by a kindly librarian. She's taking better care of him than Treacher, who had him chained up in the backyard.

Actually, Mr O, Muck4doo didn't come about until after Frank J coined the term Muckadoo in spring of 2004 to describe the LLL who were against Bushes reelection. Puce on the other hand came about in April of 2003 and was a short-lived character of Jim Treacher who reflected the LLL who were against the Iraq war. Puce was more virulent and Treacher couldn't sustain the intensity, though Puce does sometimes guest blog at treachers' site. Technically one would have to say that Muck4doo is channeling Puce not the other way around. [/blog history geek out]
