OK..There isn't a bigger fan of either the Gipper or the Iron Lady than me, but the thought of a "sex scene" between the two of them strikes me as, well, ugggghhhhhhh.

Of course, knowing Oliver Stone any sex that did take place between the two would have occurred on Nov 22, 1963 as they celebrated the successful culmination of their plan to assassinate JFK, usher in the Vietnam war, develop a plan to subvert Nixon's presidency, and emulate Alexnader the Great's favorite sexual positions. So maybe if they cast a hot red head (Julianne Moore) for that part, it might be worth seeing.

This is another non-event that won't matter in a very short time. Here's a real event:

TEHRAN - Seven drug traffickers have been hanged publicly in a park in the south-eastern Iranian city of Zahedan, in Zahedan's Laleh Park. Zahedan, is close to Iran's border with Afghanistan and Pakistan and on one of the main international heroin smuggling routes. At least 94 people have been executed in Iran this year, according to reports in Iran's main newspaper.

ISLAM KNOWS HOW TO TREAT CRIMINALS:

Murder, armed robbery, apostasy and serious drug trafficking are all punishable by death in Iran.

I'm sorry. A sex scene between the Iron Lady and Reagan? At the ages they were when in office?

Wow, distasteful, ugly sex in an Oliver Stone film? No way! I thought the man was like the last word in beautiful, lyrical erotica. Like that scene in The Doors when that woman was going down on Jim Morrison in the elevator -- I cried it was so moving.

I expect to get shot down for this but I want to raise the possibility that Oliver Stone is a stealth right-winger even if he doesn't know it himself. 'The Doors' made me despise Jim Morrison (especially the elevator scene), even though I was a hippy dope-smoker when it came out. 'Wall Street' is a fairly apolitical morality tale, Capra without jokes; but Gekko's 'Greed is Good' speech is actually very, very persuasive. Haven't seen 'Alexander' yet, but it's impossible to tell that story without glorifying martial virtues, and I can't think of many other lefties who'd describe a world-conqueror as a 'shining hero for all time'. Now it turns out he's so 'enamored' of Lady Thatcher he wants to see her get down and dirty. Michael Moore he isn't.

Murder, and possibly serious drug trafficking, are also punishable by death in some U.S. states. Armed robbery may have been in the past, though apostasy (unless the folks at Democrat Underground are correct) will never be criminalized.
