So Much For European Diplomacy

The Iranians can't even live with the non-verifiable "deal" they've struck; they're insisting on last-minute exceptions, which by the way will allow them to continue building the bomb:

VIENNA, Austria - Iran is seeking a last-minute exception to its commitment to stop all uranium enrichment activities by demanding the right to operate around two dozen centrifuges, diplomats said Wednesday.

The Iranians have told the International Atomic Energy Agency — the U.N. nuclear watchdog — they want to operate about 24 centrifuges "for research purposes," diplomats told The Associated Press.

They have asked the IAEA to exempt that equipment from agency seals meant to ensure the enrichment program — which can be used to make nuclear weapons — is completely frozen, one diplomat said.

While the number of centrifuges was relatively insignificant, the request casts doubt on Iran's commitment to dispel international suspicions about its nuclear ambitions.

Just a little.

The move comes on the eve of an IAEA board meeting that will examine Iran's compliance to international demands including calls for a suspension of all enrichment and related activities — something Iran agreed to earlier this month in a deal with European negotiators.

A senior EU diplomat, who is also a delegate to the IAEA board meeting, said the European Union (news - web sites) was resisting the demand which it viewed as contravening a Nov. 7 Paris agreement negotiated between Iran and Germany, France and Britain, on behalf of the European Union.

I suspect the French will "resist" as long as they did in WWII.

You know what sucks - all you have to do is look at the culture of these people. I'm not even being racist/bigoted/xenophobic or anything. They're kinda like the Asian cultures (specifically China) whereby if you pay "asking" price, you're a sucker. Every single thing is negotiable, and these guys are losing face if they don't pull some kind of shit last minute. Their whole bag is if they don't make you look like a sucker in the deal, they lose face among their "compatriot" (aka. other terrorist sponsoring) countries.

If you want to get an altogether way too long gist of what I'm getting at, read the "asian saga" by James Clavell. It's probably a few thousand pages, but gives some decent insight into the Asian culture of the time, much of which flows through to today. In addition, it's very interesting how I think the last book in the saga ends up in Iran. Go figure.

We have reactor tech (Pebble-Bed, IFR's) that doesn't produce nuclear waste that can be used for weapons. Why aren't we just offering to give 'em a couple of those for free? I'd make the offer just to call their bluff, and $20M is a small price to pay for keeping Iran from building the bomb. It would be win-win for us.

Do these people ever remember their experiences in past "negotiations" in the middle-east?

I worked for several years in Saudi Arabia, and learned the hard way about contract negotiations... You reach a deal, you sign the paper, and the next day they come back with "oh, by the way... we'd like to change a couple of things in the contract."

It sounds like SOP for the Middle-East to me.

ANOTHER LEFT WING ASSASSIN ATTEMPTS TO KILL TRUMP
If I understand this, the left-wing Democrat assassin attempted to get into the White House Correspondents Association dinner, and was stopped at the magnetometers, which detected his gun. I guess he pulled out the gun and was shot by Secret Service agents.

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network
@TCNetwork

The people in charge [Jews, of course -- ace] don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.

Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.

Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this.
He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again.
You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.

Politico is reporting that multiple people have abruptly resigned from Eric Swalwell's gubernatorial campaign: "Members of senior leadership have departed the campaign, including Courtni Pugh, a strategic adviser who served as Swalwell's top liaison to organized labor groups."

So the campaign is collapsing due to the truth of the sexual harassment allegations.
That hissing sound you hear is the air going out of the Swalwell campaign. UPDATE: No it wasn't, it was just Swalwell one-cheek-sneaking out a fart on camera

When I linked Donnie Iris's "Love is Like a Rock," everyone said they knew that one and that his other song (which I didn't know at all) Ah Leah! was huge in their area.
