Transcript of Brit Hume's Smackdown of Juan Williams

David Brock's Soros-funded Willis-employing idiocy machine Media Matters has a transcript of Hume contemptuously laughing at Juan Williams, and condescending to him. They think it's a bad thing.

You'll think it's pretty funny. It's so damn dismissive and insulting, kinda like the pimp-slapping beat-down at the beginning of Streets of Fire.

No need to give David Brock traffic, however, as Free Republic has posted the whole article.

Brit Hume has been pretty cocky lately, and he seems to be gloating almost openly. From calling Kerry's concession-speech claim that he was the representative of a "political movement" a "load of crap," to reading the words of liberals with a whiny, bitchy, effeminate tone, to just giggling at everything Juan Williams says-- Brit Hume represents everything that's wrong with modern journalism.

But if that's wrong, baby, I don't want to be right.

Media Matters wants you to contact Brit Hume and, I guess, yell at him or something. I say drop him an email at brit.hume@foxnews.com and let him know he's doing a man's job.

I will not be satisfied until he actually goes all Sergeant Hulka on Williams and calls him a "gutless.. punk" on live TV.

It's just so much fun to see Juan borderline sobbing.

I cannot stomach Juan Williams about 95% of the time. He has never said one thing that is not straight out of the Dems talking points. On election night, I thought he was going to cry when Fox called Ohio for the President.

As for Williams' whining that there are no dissenting voices in the cabinet, bite me. The President picks the cabinet. Who in his right mind would pick people that disagree with him? I guess Bill Clinton was just soooooooooooo smart that his cabinet bowed to his wisdom rather than disagreeing.

Juan, you know what happens with the debt ceiling? They raise it every year. They even raise it during the years when we're in surplus. So if you're staying up late at night worrying about the debt ceiling, let me put you at ease. Not to worry.
Erm, yeah, that's what I was saying the day this "fiasco" was announced on Drudge. Heh. I'm not even an economics turd, maybe they should give me Juan's job.

After seeing John Stewart on CNNs Crossfire I have found myself looking at these shows a little differently. They are the equivelant of pro-westling. I still watch them from time to time, however, they seems a lot more stupid now! Talking points......what's the point, both sides babble crap they don't really believe will change anyones mind about anything. I watch C-Span more now. I'd rather listen to the common Joe give his opinions then the "canned talking points" of the talking heads.

Even when Brit reads the news, he manages to lift a brow or give an inflection that lets you know what he's thinking, which usually I take to be "Those idiotic moonbats are at it agaisn."

Posted by: on November 22, 2004 09:55 PM

Hurray for the lifted brow and the inflection! Hurray for not suffering fools lightly and for not making any secret of it. The problem is that the left refuses to wear the shoe when it fits. They'd much rather screech that they are being oppressed, exploited and discriminated against because of their foot, and to hell with the fact that the shoe fitting them so well is cobbler-made to their own dimensions. Or to switch analogies, to hell with the fact that the rope by which they hang is of their own making.

You know if this keeps up Williams will start crying and screaming that Hume is "A big fat meany WHAAA!"

In effect, the f^cker is calling for abolition of the Presidency in favor of an executive council. Check The Federalist Papers for the arguments against an executive council, which "Publius" regarded as a source of mediocrity in the best of times and ruin during any crisis.

I actually feel sorry for liberals when watching Fox News. I can see why they are so pissed by Fox. The representative liberal (Juan Williams)is, to be frank, a total moron. It's almost sad watching Brit Hume humiliate him every time they are on together.

Heh... but how do I send a virtual origami?

About 2-3 years ago Juan was more moderate than he is now. Gearing up for the election he moved left. I don't think he is comfortable there. Listening to him on NPR is a different case. I agree with ace that Hume has gotten a little cocky but he has always been that way.

Either way I liked Tony Snow a hell of a lot better than Chris Wallace.

Brit rocks. I love watching him wipe the floor with Juan. In fact, I don't think Juan has ever succesfully won one of those exchanges.

It reminds me a bit of being in law school, when some edjit would try to take on the professor on a topic that the professor had written volumes on, and that the student was not quite yet grasping.

I have seen other exchanges between Brit and Juan - particularly when Juan's book on Thurgood Marshall came out - when it was apparent that they were friends. I doubt very much that that has changed.

Juan has a nasty assignment on those panels, and part of the reason that he come off so poorly is that he does not really believe what he is saying - even though he does believe that the Democrats are basically on the right side of the debate. That's my take anyway.

Nevertheless, Brit did get the better of the exchange on Sunday - and at Juan's expense. That's gotta sting. Might even leave a mark.

I suspect that Brit is somewhere around my age, and I can tell you that we tend to chuckle more and just shake our heads than we used to. When these things come around the third or fourth time, the adrenaline just does not flow the way it used to.

If Brit radiates a bit of self-satisfaction or superiority in the course of the panel discussions, it's because he has become more comfortable in his role and is secure in his ability to deliver. Bill Kristol is right on his heels - probably my favorite on FNC, replacing George Will of ABC. The price to see George just got too high to maintain the relationship.

"Juan, I've noticed that you're always wrong."

"I'm pacing myself, Brit"

Posted by: on November 23, 2004 08:22 PM

I think Brit Hume is the only news broadcaster that knows the issues. The network news host "reads" the news, and also the networks reports opinions. They do not think the American people are smart enough to know what they are doing. Juan Williams lost my respect when he went along with the witch hunt the democrats did to Trent Lott, yet did nothing about Byrd being a former KKK and not calling for his resignation after using the phrase White Nigger in an interview.

Important Message from Recent Convert to Christianity and Yet Super-Serious Christian Tuq'r Qarlson: Actually Muslims love Jesus, it's Trump and his neocons who hate him
Tucker Carlson Network
@TCNetwork

The people in charge [Jews, of course -- ace] don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus.

Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity.

Trump's trolling tweet was ill-advised, but Tucker is just lying when he claims the Christianity-hating President of Iran was "offended" by this.
He's one step away from announcing his official conversion to Islam. He literally never stops praising Islam. Well, he suddenly became Christian two years ago, there's not much stopping him from converting again.
You can track Tuq'r's official conversion to Islam with this Bingo card.
