A couple of FAQ'sI get some questions about these, so I might as well answer them for everyone. FAQ: Where's Allah? Allah's a generous patron of this blog, and we do exchange emails periodically, but he's even more guarded about his personal life than I am. I know less about Allah than I do about Ricky "Rick" Schroeder. Sorry. I know a lot of you are fans of Allah (as I am, of course), but I just have no idea why he takes breaks from time to time, or when he might be back.
I was suprised that at least one reader thinks that Hoke is a character. He's not. He's an actual dude, whose name/political bona fides I'm not allowed to reveal. So, in case you were suspicious: No, I wasn't using the "Hoke" character to express my own doubts about Bush's electoral prospects. I had doubts, of course, but not nearly as strong as Hoke's. Hoke, as I said, has always been a tad pessimistic about every election. He wants Republicans to win. He's just never very confident they will. Hoke, by the way, may be posting here this weekend, and he's prepared to eat a certain amount of crow for his pessimistic predictions. But try not to be too hard on him. This is supposed to be a happy occasion. Let's not bicker and argue about who killed who. posted by Ace at 12:34 PM
CommentsThat's the 2nd "Holy Grail" reference I've seen today. The first was about Arafat's coma, then dead, then alive status--"I'm not dead yet!" Posted by: Joe R. the Unabrewer on November 4, 2004 01:01 PM
Depends how much you know about Ricky Schroeder, of course. Posted by: someone on November 4, 2004 01:32 PM
i humbly remember various thing about Allah, the merciful. 1) his blog at the end of october, had couple of hindred hits a day more than oliver-the-fish's. The creator of worlds was not posting anything since a good 8 days. 2) He who will grant us eternal happiness and many virgins to beat up senseless makes miracles with photoshop 3) He who makes the refreshing winds blow and all that cute stuff we love so much (like camels, and exploding jackets), was speaking about being reeeeally pissed off (exhausted, some would say). I love Allah's blog beyond words. I check it from time to time, but his absences do not bother me. I figger he's got a life, or something. Posted by: lauraw on November 4, 2004 03:28 PM
So you're saying you're Ricky Schroeder? Posted by: See-Dub on November 4, 2004 03:35 PM
Why'd Allah delink Redsugar, anyway? Posted by: someone on November 4, 2004 05:29 PM
I'm sorry Ace, I can't promise to go easy on Hoke. WHERE'S MY PIG?! Posted by: The Black Republican on November 4, 2004 07:24 PM
Okay, I finally caught sight of the comment on an earlier thread. I'll wait until the weekend.... In fact, I think I'll save it for Christmas feast. :-) Posted by: The Black Republican on November 4, 2004 07:30 PM
Let's not forget about Arafat, who, just as it seemed he was about to recover, felt the icy hand of death upon him. (He's died) Posted by: Chris on November 5, 2004 09:00 AM

What is the UK Regime's plan for protecting the citizens from the savage criminals they've foisted on the populace? They offer NONE. They do, however, have a plan for protecting the savage criminals from the citizens: The citizens must STAY CALM and not get angry and not share videos of citizens being attacked by savage criminals. The public keeps saying "protect us from the foreign savages you have imported against our wishes and over our objections" and the UK branch of The Regime keeps proposing plans to protect the foreign savages from the public. Soclose to what the public is demanding, just, you know, the complete opposite. Just a thought: Maybe you wouldn't have to worry about the public attacking the savage criminals if you actually introduced a plan to protect the public from the savage criminals. Maybe they wouldn't feel as if it was necessary for them to protect the public through self-help.
