10 of Viacom's 13 Directors Donate Primarily to Democrats, or Have Served in Democratic Administrations

What liberal media bias?

You know, because reporters are always (indiscretely if honestly) answering pollsters' questions about their party affiliation and giving away the fact they are 90% liberal Democrat, hacks and cranks like Eric Altermann claim that while the reporters are overwhelmingly liberal, the owners and "suits" are overwhelmingly conservative, which actually results in the famous conservative-bias in the media that we all know and love.

Well, first of all, this is fatuous on a basic level; reporters tend to be self-righteous pricks about following their own journalistic muses, and should a suit actually attempt to exert any influence whatsoever on their stories, it would be on the front page of the New York Times the next day and result in six months of breathless investigation-- and villification.

But, secondly: It's just pure, 100% bullshit as a factual proposition anyway. 10 of Viacom's 13 directors donate primarily to Democrats, or have actually served in Democratic Administrations.

10 Democrats. 3 non-Democrats, which may include actual independents.

So, Altermann:

What's your next bit of spin?

Too true! The notion that the guys who have zillion dollar investment accounts are all conservative is nuts. Anybody ever hear of George Soros? Warren Buffett? JOHN KERRY, for crying out loud? There's a very definite tendency for people who have made their pile to develop messianic delusions, to become convinced that shrewd investment sense makes one a "deep thinker", a philosophe. This is exactly the sort of puffed up, self-important, meddlesome jackassery that lends itself to liberal/leftist ideologies of one sort or another.

Ace,

I talked this over with Eric. Here's what we decided: There are two kinds of rich guys.

The first kind, when he's done getting his wing tips polished, he toe-pokes the young bootblack in the eye. And then he brags about it to the person next to him. That's the Republican rich guy.

The second kind, the supposedly "Democrat" rich guy, tips the bootblack, thanks him, then goes home and pokes his wife in the eye.

(The evil has to get out somehow.)

Supposedly the Viacom execs are liberal. For a rich guy that means you can watch homeless person get savaged by some rabid pigeons and not get a hard on. But you do think about it all day. Well, of course, he's a "Democrat."

Make sense?

Everybody wants you
Everybody wants your love
I'd just like to make you mine, all mine
I'm frankly surprised the title is 107 Days. I would have thought it would be:

Days Are Important: The Amount of Days Was a Number and That Number Was 100 Plus 7 Which is 107. 107. One Hundred and Seven. It's a Memoir and Memoirs are About Remembering Things Because Remembering Things is Good. Not Bad. Good. Memoir. A Memoir. Like a Reservoir But With Memory. We Have to Let it Flow. We Have to Let It Flow Into the Reservoir of Our Mind and Our Heart. Our Heart Which is the Beating Heart of Not Just Our Blood, But Our Progress. And Our People. And Democracy. The End.

Former CIA operative John Kiriakou talks with Matt Taibbi about the Brennan/Comey Coup
Both guys are old liberals, maybe even of the far-left variety, and both are appalled by the Democrat/Deep State coup against the US. Kiriakou says that CIA officers were legally obligated to report to the Inspector General John Brennan's repeated overruling of actual intelligence to encode his partisan conspiracy theories into US intel product, but of course they didn't.
