Tomorrow morning CBS will be absolutely crucified in major editorials. There will be a near mutiny at CBS. Dan will hunker down in his bunker. They will have to send armed guards to remove him.

Oh yeah, and the never of Laura Bush to provide no evidence of her claims. If I were George, I slap her playfully on the butt.

I was typing too fast. I am really ticked off at CBS. I am hoping that the dozens (if not scores) of important employees there who know what's going on will act with integrity. Internal pressure at CBS is very important.

CBS has reduced itself to a nitche media outlet and is playing to its vanishingly small audience. Don't look too hard for a mutiny -- they're down to a core group of true believers.

The fact is, except for the controversy surrounding the FACT that the documents are forged, NOBODY outside of the tiny fringe of Bush haters cared about these documents. CBS knows its customer base, and is playing to it.

If Morley Safer and Mike Wallace don't perform an intervention with Dan soon, he's going to show up for work dressed as Napolean and report on the air that Wellington has surrendered.

This is exactly what I hate about TV shows, it happens all the time on Days of our Lives. Any time there's a death scene, it goes ON and ON and ON and ON. You feel so sorry for the poor actor stuck in a hospital bed for weeks on end, making death rattles and looking wan. Someone tell CBS this Dan Rather death-scene ratings-grab is getting BORING. Just GO already.

Dan Rather's daughter leaked the fake memos, and Rather has provided no evidence that she didn't.

Anyone watch ABC tonight? Kerry Spot has a new post (via Cap'n Ed) about tonight's ABC news expose. They talked to two experts who had told CBS news that the memos were fake, before CBS ran with the story.
