Turkish Ship Possibly Carrying Bomb Escorted Away From US CoastThank goodness someone out there is on the ball. Whether this turns out to be a false alarm or not -- Bravo for being alert and cautious, boys. Well done. Update: And a train is being searched as well. Thanks to a passenger's tip. Maybe the only way to defeat the official politically-correct "we don't profile" line is for passengers to alert authorities. The government isn't allowed to profile? Okay, fine. But we citizens are. We should take advantage of that fact. posted by Ace at 02:36 PM

Update to the video of a Russian soldier being spun around and thrown by the machinegun he was operating: The soldier was testing an old, archaic Russian machinegun intended to be mounted to a helicopter. The old gun was pressed into service as a possible anti-drone gun. The Russian army is generally depleted and being forced to bring a lot of old, unreliable weapons and platforms to the front.
