President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that Hamas terrorists would lay down their weapons, or the United States would “disarm them.”
Speaking to reporters during a roundtable with Argentinian President Javier Milei at the White House, Trump said that Hamas has already promised to disarm, which was a major demand in the president’s 20-point peace plan. “They’re going to disarm because they said they were going to disarm,” Trump said. “And if they don’t disarm, we will disarm them.”
“How will you do that?” a reporter asked. “I don’t have to explain that to you, but if they don’t disarm, we will disarm them,” Trump reiterated. “They know I’m not playing games.”
With all due respect to the President, color me highly skeptical. Even if this ceasefire holds for any appreciable length of time, the problem isn't necessarily Hamas nor its caches of weapons. The issue was and always will be Islam. You can disarm Hamas and every other armed Muslim, unless and until you deprogram them and successive generations of Muslims from what the Koran tells them is their duty on this Earth — the death or submission of every infidel on Earth — then despite the blessed liberation of the innocents they held captive and abused for two years, All of this is destined to happen again, perhaps even worse than before.
With the U.S.-brokered ceasefire providing a breather, Hamas terrorists have crawled out of their tunnels and fanned out into the streets of Gaza — massacring political rivals and opposing Arab clans to reestablish their reign of terror. It is worth noting that the massive Hamas tunnel network was exclusively for terrorist warfare, and not to shield a single Gaza civilian during the two-year-long war.
Despite the 5 times a day yammering of the Imams and even louder and harder on Fridays about how evil the Jews are, perhaps the truth of who really is the source of their misery as illustrated by this piece, might one day have the salutary effect of breaking through and raising some consciousnesses . Tribalism, xenophobia and hatred are unfortunately a part of human nature. In fits and starts we have somehow managed over the past 2,000 years to generally advance to a level where most people do believe or at the very least aspire to the goal of Live and Let Live. Of course, wars and revolutions and other base desires notwithstanding in that time have dragged us backwards, but the direction has nevertheless has always been towards the light of God and truth.
Evil persists as it always has and human nature being what it is, always will. We must always be on our guard to fight it as well as protect whatever sparks of humanity there are the crop up in the most unexpected place, to try and encourage them.
President Donald Trump will award Charlie Kirk the Medal of Freedom today at 4 PM ET. You can watch the livestream below. Today would have been Charlie’s 32nd birthday.
Erika, Charlie’s widow, will attend the ceremony along with those associated with his organization Turning Point USA.
God bless Charlie Kirk's memory. We sure could use a whole lot more like him. And that said, Kirk came onto the sene during the dark days of the Obama years when we seemingly thought we had lost his generation to the insanity of Leftist/Socialist/progressivism and yet he came to the fore and inspired many young people to return to God and also to open their eyes and minds to the insanity all around us. And he along with others helped propel Donald Trump and the MAGA movement forward. That momentum I hope and pray is still with us.
Have a good day!
And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

The guns are silent, relief supplies are being poured into Gaza, IDF troops have withdrawn to agreed areas and the 20 surviving hostages have been released, along with four of the 28 bodies of the dead, the others to be returned when they are found by Hamas. Price not announced but expected to be about 50% more than equivalent Strix Halo models, so around $3000.
It's for AI, not for you. But interestingly it uses LPDDR5X memory - just like the Strix Halo and the Nvidia DGX Spark above - to allow huge amounts of fairly fast memory rather than demanding modest amounts of extremely fast memory that uses a ton of power.

A Peruvian bishop submitted his resignation to Pope Leo after a Vatican investigation revealed that he was secretly dating multiple women simultaneously.
51-year-old Ciro Quispe Lopez, the bishop of Juli, in Peru, stands accused of having up to 17 secret lovers. Although he denies the allegations against him as part of a defamation campaign by ‘dark hands’, Lopez handed in his resignation to the Pope last month, more than two decades earlier than Catholic bishops usually retire. The Vatican investigation began after an investigation by Kevin Moncada, a journalist for the Peruvian newspaper Sin Fronteras, found that Ciro Quispe Lopez had been exchanging explicit messages, photos and videos with various women. On top of that, he accidentally sent pictures and videos intended for his mistresses to his house cleaner, who alerted the Catholic Church.
“A nun who was one of Quispe’s lovers was jealous of a lawyer the bishop was also seeing and sent information about his affairs to a third lover who got into a fight with the lawyer,” Paola Ugaz, a Peruvian journalist who has seen a Vatican document on the investigation, told The Times. “It was a real soap opera, but also lifted the lid on a serious abuse of power. Many of the 17 women were too scared to come forward because they were frightened of him.”

Just days after the federal government shut down, a wave of illicit activity began in Yosemite National Park. Since the beginning of October, there has been an uptick in illegal camping, unpermitted hiking, and BASE jumping within the park.
Half Dome, one of the most sought-after hikes in the park, has seen hikers taking advantage of the strained resources to score a trip up on the peak’s infamous cabled section without a permit. Recent videos and photographs show walls of people on the iron cables, likely a result of unpermitted hikers attempting the summit at the same time as those with permits.
At this time, it’s unclear how many Yosemite employees were deemed “essential” to continue operations during the government shutdown. But with significant park resources like visitor centers and information booths closing down across the country, national parkgoers are unable to access ordinarily available resources. In addition, national park websites don’t get regular updates during government shutdowns, which contributes to a lack of information to incoming visitors.
The shutdown hasn’t just brought hikers trying to sneak onto famous trails; it has also brought illegal campers, according to reporting by SFGATE. Permitted camping tends to be strictly enforced within park boundaries, but now, people are taking advantage of the limited park resources and illegally setting up camp.

The United States struck another small boat accused of carrying drugs in the waters off Venezuela, killing six people, President Donald Trump said on Tuesday.
Those who died in the strike were aboard the vessel, and no U.S. forces were harmed, the Republican president said in a social media post. It's the fifth deadly strike in the Caribbean as Trump's administration has asserted it's treating alleged drug traffickers as unlawful combatants who must be met with military force.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the strike Tuesday morning, said Trump, who released a video of it, as he had in the past. Hegseth later shared the video in a post on X.
Trump said the strike was conducted in international waters and "Intelligence" confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with "narcoterrorist networks" and was on a known drug trafficking route.

For Rand Paul, the Constitution always means whatever he decides it means this morning.
The same guy who claims he would defund the military and just pay privateers to kill our enemies simultaneously gets squeamish about killing drug dealers.
I use to think Rand Paul was ok, weird, but ok. Now I've lost all respect for him. A boat load of drugs heading toward America is no different than a loaded missile directed at our coastline and Rand doesn't see the threat. What does he get out of these drug runs? https://t.co/5JLquutKbO
Paul's "but I support privateers!" claim is bullshit. He's simply a left-wing pacifag with some of his father's racial baggage, and he talks about "letters of marque and reprisal" to sound tough and badass while he pushes Code Pink's extreme pacifism on the country.
Republican Senators, with an assist from Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., voted down an attempt block the Trump administration's missile strikes on alleged Venezuelan drug boats on Wednesday, hours after a nominee to serve as the CIA's top lawyer dodged questions from Democrats about the secret legal justification for the strikes at his confirmation hearing.
The Senate voted 51-48 against a War Powers Act resolution sponsored by Sens. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Tim Kaine, D-Va. -- the first time members of Congress went on the record about the strikes.
If passed, the resolution would have blocked Donald Trump's administration from conducting further strikes without congressional approval.
Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska were the only Republicans to vote in favor of the resolution. Fetterman was the sole Democrat to break with the rest of his caucus, mirroring his vote earlier this year for a similar resolution in response to the Trump administration's strike on Iran. (Fetterman's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.) Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, did not vote.
"There is also the policy issue of the risk of the U.S. getting embroiled in another war."
The vote came days after the fourth confirmed boat strike conducted by the U.S. military. Those strikes, which the administration claims hit boats carrying drugs, have taken the lives of at least 21 people.
...
Speaking on the Senate floor, Sen. Jim Risch, R-Idaho, who chairs the Foreign Relations Committee, defended the Trump administration's actions.
"People were attacking our country by bringing in poisonous substances," he said. "The people carrying those drugs were terrorists, plain and simple. They were trafficking drugs that finance a designated foreign terrorist organization."
"We will never know, because they were blown to smithereens."
His fellow Republican, Paul, said that the terrorist label has been twisted out of recognition.
"The blow-them-to-smithereens crowd might stop to ponder that a good percentage of the ships that we actually search turn out not to be drug smugglers," Paul said. "We will never know, because they were blown to smithereens."
The savages who wracked campuses with vandalism and violence, supposedly to compel a ceasefire and "stop the genocide," say that they're not going to stop the vandalism and violence.
Because "peace" was never the goal -- only Islamic Conquest.
[LATimes:]
"While the news of a ceasefire is welcome, nothing fundamentally changes at UCLA or colleges in general," said Dylan Kupsh, a doctoral computer science student at UCLA who was part of an encampment last year that was attacked by pro-Israel vigilantes.
"Our university is still invested in the oppression of Palestine. Students won't rest until the university divests," said Kupsh, who has faced student discipline procedures for participating in actions that the university alleges violated campus policies...
Amanda, a student at USC who participated in pro-Palestinian encampments, said concerns remain on her campus.
"We see that our school, like all the others, is very worried about being seen as antisemitic by the government, so they are even stricter about protests and speech than they used to be," she said.
Speaking of Islamic Conquest, Islamic propagandist Christiane Amanapour claimed that the Israelis held illegally as hostages by Hamas terrorists for two years were treated better than "the average Gazan."
See, you can't blame Hamas for taking hostages because Israel is holding all of Gaza hostage, don't you know, and Hamas treats its hostages better than Israel treats its hostages.
CNN chief international anchor Christiane Amanpour claimed Israeli hostages, who were tortured and starved for two years by Hamas, were treated better than Gazans.
"They're probably being treated better than the average Gazan because they are the pawns and the chips that Hamas had," Amanpour said Monday morning on CNN News Central.
...
Videos released over the past two years have shown malnourished Israeli hostages enduring brutal treatment. Survivors have said they were starved, tortured, electrocuted, and forced to dig their own graves. One freed hostage, Ron Krivoi, said "ordinary Gazans" beat him. Another, Evyatar David, was forced to dig his own grave in a Hamas propaganda video released in August.
"I remember distinctly a UN official already describing Gaza as a graveyard for Palestinian children and here we are two years later, nearly 20,000 children dead and much needed aid. They have nothing to go back to, but they have their land. And for Palestinians, boy, that is what they have fought for -- for -- for decades. I myself right now am outside Ofer prison. This is the largest prison in the West Bank."
...
"But over to Gaza, 1,700 Palestinians detained in Gaza will be released. They are in some cases minors, doctors, nurses, journalists who have never been charged. It's really important for people to remember that they've been held under what's called administrative detention. It's a controversial practice that allows Israel to detain people for an indefinite period of time without charging them. These people do not know why they have been detained and so, in the eyes of many Palestinians, you ask them, they consider those people held without charge also as hostages. And Palestinian officials will tell you that they believe Israel has been arresting them, arresting as many as they can to gather to amass as many bargaining chips as possible for these negotiations."

Human disaster area Alec Baldwin crashed his car while illegally passing a truck on the right and immediately blamed the other driver.
Newsmax has obtained exclusive dashcam footage that appears to contradict Alec Baldwin's account of how he and his brother Stephen Baldwin were involved in a car crash Monday afternoon.
The 1-minute, 29-second front-facing video, taken from the commercial truck Alec Baldwin claims cut him off, shows the truck making a legal right turn onto Montauk Highway in East Hampton, New York, before Alec Baldwin's white Range Rover comes into view -- and moments later, slams into a tree along the roadside.
The footage begins with the truck exiting a parking lot and making a routine right turn.
Roughly 30 seconds in, Alec Baldwin's vehicle appears to attempt to pass the truck on the right, before veering onto the shoulder and striking a large tree head-on.
The video then captures the aftermath, including the Range Rover's crumpled front end.
In a video posted to Instagram late Monday, Alec Baldwin claimed a "garbage truck the size of a whale" cut him off, forcing him to swerve to avoid a collision.
"To avoid hitting him, I hit a tree. I hit a big fat tree and crushed my car -- my wife's car," he said.
But the dashcam footage obtained by Newsmax tells a different story.
The truck Alec Baldwin blamed for "cutting him off" does not appear to impede his path.
Instead, the footage shows Alec Baldwin's vehicle attempting to maneuver around the truck after it had already completed its turn.
There is no visible indication that the truck forced Alec Baldwin from his lane, nor any sudden obstruction requiring evasive action. Seconds later, his SUV loses control and crashes into the tree.
Former President Barack Obama decried the Trump administration's deployment of military troops to American cities, saying the moves amount to "a genuine effort to weaken how we have understood democracy."
In an appearance on the final episode of comedian Marc Maron's podcast, "WTF," Obama said President Donald Trump was attempting to contravene the Posse Comitatus Act, a nearly 150-year-old law generally prohibiting the use of the military for domestic law enforcement.
"If I had sent in the National Guard into Texas and just said ... 'I don't care what Governor [Greg] Abbott says, I'm going to take over law enforcement because I think things are out of control,' it is mind boggling to me how Fox News would've responded," Obama said.
Absurd. That would be a pretextual use of the National Guard, because there is no insurrection in Texas and Greg Abbott is using law enforcement to arrest criminals.

CNN: Sadly, The "Male Gaze" Is Back, and Heterosexual Men Are Attracted to Attractive Women Once More
—Ace
Colin Duffy
@TheRightDuff
Oct 13
Leftism, at its core, is nothing more than deeply internalized jealousy of people who are more traditionally attractive, socially competent, physically capable, or financially productive.
As a child of the '90s and early 2000s, I grew up with my mother's and grandmother's generations' fight for legal and workplace equality helping shed social misogyny.
In the past decade in particular, I saw the evidence of progress in my media diet. The movies, shows, books and advertisements I consumed were increasingly giving women a seat at the table. Heroin chic fell away, and body positivity entered the fashion world.
Those are the only two options: Heroin chic (which, by the way, has not been a trend since the mid-nineties, and was barely a trend even then) or "body positivity," meaning the celebration of morbidly obese women (and never obese men or even short men).
Stories about a woman stealing your man were traded for celebration of the "girl's girl" who resisted the competition for men's attention.
Yes we know. Hollywood has avoided romance -- I mean, heterosexual romance -- for fifteen years due to the demands of feminists/political lesbians who insist that no woman should ever fall in love with a man.
And when my husband and I got married earlier this year, our vision of what our life could be included wide-ranging possibilities, influenced in part by the movies and shows we grew up with. We saw, read and listened to stories of involved fathers, successful mothers and well-matched partners who supported one another.
It seemed like women were taking a deeper breath without such heavy cultural restrictions.
I have a sneaking suspicion that her "wide-ranging possibilities" are actually an extremely narrow range of woke-approved possibilities.
From women fighting to end child marriage in Africa to women demanding equal pay, to women teaching other women to love their bodies regardless of shape, color or size, women are empowering women all over the world.
There it is: the "wide-ranging possibilities." Current Year Netflix.
Then there was a shift.
Enter the heroes -- Sydney Sweeney's calcium cannons.
Was it around the 2024 presidential election? Or since the overturn of Roe v. Wade? Maybe when men's rights activists pushed back against #MeToo? Whatever the catalyst, a change in the political environment seemed to connect with a social change that brought back narrow, and at times constrictive, ideas of womanhood depicted in media.
She claims this is a "constrictive" vision, when it fact it is simply allowing "wide-ranging possibilities" that she and her hysterical neurotic lunatic ideologues made forbidden for fifteen years.
The recent rise of weight loss medications coincided with social media influencers sharing ways to get smaller and no longer celebrating bodies of all sizes.
Advertisements followed suit, making men's desire once again a dominating factor in how stories are told, and how women are portrayed.
How had these discarded ideas made their way back into circulation? Didn't we all agree we were through with them?
LOL. No we didn't. You just #cancelled pretty women without asking the guys about it or the conventionally-attractive women that you shamed out of the public square.
The culprit, I have learned, is the male gaze.
The problem is always the male gays.
And the female gays are even worse.
It was always there, but now it has stepped back into the spotlight.
The male gaze came roaring back this summer.
American Eagle ---- whose partner brand Aerie has been known for marketing underwear to women with imagery that celebrated stretch marks, cellulite and a range of body sizes -- ran a controversial ad campaign starting in July. The ads sell jeans to women featuring actor Sydney Sweeney, who many men see as a sex symbol, insinuating the clothing would make men find them more attractive.
The horror of selling clothing with the suggestion that you might look better in a particular cut of dress!
...
"Most typically, the male gaze is about representing women in media solely to satisfy heterosexual men," said Dr. Linda Tuncay Zayer, professor of marketing and John F. Smith, Jr. Chair in Business Administration at the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago.
In movies and entertainment watched primarily by men, then yes, I think such fare should "satisfy" men by pleasing them. I know that the idea that any man in the world might take pleasure in anything is toxic and horrifying to you.
You left-wing lunatic bitches and stuff your crap with all the 300 pound diabetic amputees that you like. (Sorry, female Morons, I've got to look out for the lads first and foremost.)
If you are observing women in movies, TV, fashion, social media and marketing and they don't feel as fully materialized as their male counterparts, that is the male gaze.
"The woman's value is reduced in so far as existing for pleasure or basically an object," Zayer said.
It's Bond girls. And a long, lingering shot panning up a woman's body in an advertisement for soda. It's when an action movie accessory is running through explosions in tiny shorts and flowing curled hair before collapsing helplessly in the hero's arms. And a social media star making a recipe while all dolled up and explaining her steps in a soft, sultry voice.
What is amazing about this piece is that it's so Basic Bitch. She is explaining to us the concept of "the male gaze" in the Year of Our Lord 2025. We already heard all of this absurd anti-human bullshit in 1998.
But this world-beater imagines she's breaking new ground here.
I like how they always claim that James Bond girls are just for "the male gaze" and have no agency. It's such an empty-headed cliched trope. What's the last James Bond movie these bimbos actually watched?
OUT: I Support the Current Thing
IN: I support the 1995 Thing
The male gaze has always been around -- art in the eye of the male beholder -- but the term came into modern existence as a feminist theory coined by film critic Laura Mulvey in 1975.
Yes, so why are you telling us about it fifty years later?
Her next article will be about the Miracle Fastener: Velcro.
Although it started as a lens through which to view film, Mulvey specifically calling out Marilyn Monroe's appearance in "The River of No Return" and movie director Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window," it has expanded to encompass cultural perspectives that keep men's stories, experiences and interest as the societal priority and treat women as objects rather than active participants.
In entertainment primarily consumed by men, yes, men will be the most important characters, the stories will be appealing to men, and the POV will reflect men's assumptions.
Whose assumptions should they reflect? Lunatic feminists?
You have your bullshit chick flick nonsense where the female characters are the heroes and the male lead is merely the object of desire to be won. No one bothers you about that.
But you are determined to Colonize Men's Spaces.
The male gaze includes stories told about women in relation to a male character (think wife, daughter, victim) and media in which the camera angles and visual storytelling make the audience feel like they are viewing the women from a heterosexual male's perspective, Zayer added.
In a James Bond movie?! How awful for you.
It may even be hard to recognize when media is coming from the male gaze because it is so pervasive, Zayer said. "We're kind of a goldfish in the water where this is part of our culture," she added.
As you try to identify it, Zayer stresses the male gaze is not just about the way something looks -- it's about power. And media matters.
Have you noticed that this world-beater has located and interviewed one single "expert"?
And here's her preference: All movies and TV shows and advertisements should be directed by the female gaze.
The dominance of the male gaze hasn't gone unchecked. Storytellers have been presenting alternative ways of viewing women for many years.
Often when women are shown as sexy or sexual on screen, it is a performance for men and doesn't include their own search for pleasure or complex storylines. On the other hand, there is the female gaze, with shows and movies like "Bridgerton" and "Portrait of a Lady on Fire" demonstrating how women can be sexual without being objectified.
Mothers and daughters weren't accessories to the men in their lives when Greta Gerwig joined the ranks of the few female Academy Award-nominated directors -- for the 2017 film, "Lady Bird." The film's focus on the mother-daughter relationship helped audiences explore coming of age and the experience of womanhood.

Take the Bechdel test, coined by cartoonist and graphic novelist Alison Bechdel in a comic strip. To pass it, a book, film or show must have at least two women; they must talk to each other, and about something other than a man. Failing the test is a good sign that media is part of the male gaze ---- and you can probably think of plenty that can't check any of those boxes.
Oh wow, she's talking about the Bechdel test.
She should write about her life story. That would make for a compelling article. Imagine being the first woman on your block to have AOL and the spending three months straight reading articles on Jezebel and the Mary Sue and then getting flash-frozen in Cold Fusion mishap (just like in that Keanu Reeves science-fiction movie that's currently in theaters) and not being revived and woken up until thirty years later in 2025.

terrible news. after a decade of trying to socially engineer what men find attractive, they still find attractive women attractive 😔 pic.twitter.com/V9GnOWaRtI
Meanwhile, as heterosexual men are shamed to death for noticing that attractive women are attractive, left-wing femcel coomers are flicking their beans to "romantasy" rape-fantasies about being forced to... jerk off giant Minotaurs on a "Milking Farm."

I'm talking about Katie Porter but I heard someone, I think one of the guys on the Ruthless podcast, call this gourd-shaped monstrosity "Katie Potatey" and that's the only name I'll use for her going forward.
I will also correct the NYPost, which erroneously refers to Katie Potatey as "Katie Porter."
Katie Potatey targeted 'softer spoken' underlings for abuse, was 'downright mean', ex-staffer warns voters
By Chadwick Moore
Katie Potatey was exposed for berating a staffer and throwing a tantrum during an interview in two video clips this week.
And the California governor candidate is even worse when cameras aren't rolling, one ex-staffer told The Post Friday.
One of the lawyer and politician's cruelest tactics is dehumanizing her young underlings by referring to them in the third person -- while in their presence.
"It was easier for her to do these things to the quieter ones, the more soft-spoken ones, who wouldn't be like, 'hey, that's not okay,' " Sasha Georgiades, a former Wounded Warrior Fellow and Navy veteran who served in Porter's office from 2020--2022, told The Post.
"Going after the people you think aren't going to fight back -- I think it speaks a lot about a person's nature when they do that.
"Especially in arena like politics, which you're here to serve people. Actually, you're here to serve those quiet people more, at least that's my viewpoint on it," she added.
...
Georgiades described a Jekyll and Hyde boss, never knowing which Katie would show up.
"If anything went wrong, she would flip on a dime," Georgiades said, recalling one incident where her young team had setup a Facebook video shoot but picky Potatey didn't like what they had done.
"She's talking to me while the other girl is in the room, telling me, 'I don't even know why she's here. I can do this job better than her.' And this is, like, very inappropriate. The girl's in the room with us," Georgiades said.
"It is dehumanizing and it's demoralizing. It makes you question: why am I even doing this?" Georgiades reflected.
In July 2022, Georgiades released text messages with Potatey exposing her shockingly toxic work environment. Potatey and Georgiades had both tested positive for COVID-19 after attending an in-person staff meeting. Porter then sent angry text messages blaming the asymptomatic Georgiades for infecting her--and then fired her.
Potatey's campaign didn't immediately return The Post's request for comment.
The explosive former congresswoman was also accused of having a short fuse by her ex-husband, with whom she has three children, who described in a restraining order how she had once allegedly dumped steaming mashed potatoes on his head and had chastised him with swear words in front of their kids.
Oh! So maybe that's why Ruthless called her Katie Potatey. I assumed it was just due to her figure, which resembles a sack of spuds with a gland issue.
Below, Katie Potatey speculates about Trump's "demise," fantasizing about him having a heart attack.
Katie Potatey, maybe you should worry about your own cardiovascular health.
California produces crazy politicians. Katie Porter running for Governor continues that tradition.

Schmolls: Jay Jones Now Trails in Virginia, with Winsome Earle-Sears Now Behind By Just Two Points

🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: Virginia Democrat Jay Jones, who wants Republicans and their children to die, FALLS WAY BEHIND Jason Miyares (R) -- and Winsome Sears (R) is within striking distance for governor
This race doesn't go to the polls until next year, but it's still interesting to see Democrats flailing even in the bluest of blue states.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul retains just a five percentage-point lead against potential 2026 Republican challenger Elise Stefanik -- and loses that advantage when likely voters first hear about both candidates' records, according to a new internal poll.
Stefanik trails behind Hochul, 48% to 43%, on an initial ballot but narrowly beats the incumbent Democrat, 46.4% to 45.9%, when voters leaning toward voting in the 2026 race hear about the governor endorsing New York City mayoral front-runner and socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani, the poll found, among other issues.
If Mamdani wins Gracie Mansion, up to 47% of independent voters also said they'd be less likely to vote for Hochul or other Democrats up and down the ballot in the midterms.
The survey, paid for by Stefanik's leadership fundraising committee E-PAC, showed likely gubernatorial voters also downgraded Hochul for her record on supporting bail reform in New York and other cost-of-living concerns.
Hochul's job performance rating is also underwater, 56% to 39%, and at least half of the likely voters polled strongly disapprove of the Democrat.
Meanwhile, just 34% of the likely voters said as of this month they were ready to re-elect Hochul, while 59% said it was time for someone new.
Pollster Landon Wall, of the firm Grayhouse, said his survey of 1,250 likely 2026 midterm voters reveals Hochul is in a "deeply vulnerable position."

🚨 BREAKING: NORTH CAROLINA Republicans have just announced plans to vote on a new GOP-friendly Congressional map for the 2026 midterms, in another blow to Democrats.
The tenant living in the Virginia house at the center of New York Attorney General Letitia James's federal indictment is a 'fugitive' from justice, the Daily Mail can exclusively reveal.
James has reportedly allowed her grandniece Nakia Thompson - along with Thompson's three children - to live in the three-bedroom property in Norfolk since 2020.
Now, in an embarrassing twist for Donald Trump's nemesis, Daily Mail has discovered that Thompson is officially listed as an 'absconder' who is being sought by authorities in North Carolina for failing to finish her probation.
'Ms Thompson was sentenced to probation for misdemeanor convictions for assault and battery and trespassing, and has willfully avoided probation supervision,' Keith Acree, communications director for the North Carolina Department of Corrections told Daily Mail.
'An absconder is considered a fugitive,' Acree added. 'Thompson faces arrest if she is located in North Carolina.' He said her crimes of assault and trespass are considered 'non-extraditable' due to their low level.
The 36-year-old told a grand jury in June that she had been living rent-free at James's home -- now valued at $235,000 -- since the Attorney General bought it, claiming that James pays for even basic upkeep, the New York Times reported.
...
On the NCDC website is an appeal for information leading to Thompson's whereabouts, along with a mugshot and an offender number -- 0898340.
During her time at New York state's top prosecutor, James has championed her work bringing fugitives to justice, including the extradition from Pakistan of a Medicaid fraud ringleader.
...
When approached by Daily Mail, Thompson simply said 'no comment', before bizarrely adding that she was 'very much in college, and very much a graduate'.
Before moving to James's home in 2020 -- which the prosecutor had purchased for $109,000 -- Thompson had a string of brushes with the law in Virginia and North Carolina, records show.
In 2005 she was placed on probation in Forsyth County, North Carolina, for simple assault, and the following year was handed a suspended sentence for two counts of assault against a government official, according to NCDC.

Low-IQ Narcisist and Epic Failure Joe Biden Wants Credit for Trump's Success In the Middle East
—Ace
Joe Biden is a corrupt demented fool who has always fancied himself a foreign policy genius. No matter how stupid his plans were, and how often they failed, he clinged to the old fart fantasy that he was a world-class Machiavel.
On Friday, Politico reported that Biden's staffers had "mixed feelings" about the Trump Team's winning of the hostages' freedom. They claim they were happy they were to be released.
And as usual, you can ignore everything before the "but."
As the world hopes for the remaining Israeli hostages to soon return home from Gaza, one group has bittersweet feelings about President DONALD TRUMP's progress toward ending the Israel-Hamas war.
Biden administration officials are thrilled that a ceasefire is taking hold and that the hostages will be freed. But they also have a bit of sour grapes -- arguing that they laid the groundwork for Trump's effort and that he could have executed on it much earlier.
Trump, some noted, took office in January with a ceasefire in place, but the truce collapsed and Trump spent months doing little as Gaza sunk into further despair.
As one Biden administration official put it, Trump "inherited a ceasefire that fell apart due to a lack of U.S. engagement, allowed Israel to implement a strategy of starvation, got dragged into the war with Iran and ultimately started to exert leverage only after the botched strike in Qatar last month." The bottom line? "It's good that he came around," the former official said. "But it's a tragedy that it took so long."
Some former aides to President JOE BIDEN are suggesting Trump's 20-point plan may be built off a blueprint they left behind, but the Trump team has made no such admission. Former Secretary of State ANTONY BLINKEN alluded to this in a recent podcast, saying of the much-ballyhooed Trump 20-point plan: "This is essentially the plan that we developed over many months and more or less left in a drawer for the incoming administration, and I'm very, very glad they picked it up."
...
Some former Biden officials, including senior aides to the president and vice president, have been soul-searching in recent months about whether they could have done more to stop the war. But NatSec Daily didn't get any sense that the Biden administration officials were embarrassed or jealous that it was Trump and not them who finally imposed this settlement.
"'Jealous' isn't the right word," a second former Biden administration official said, adding that there's a sense that "because Trump is depraved most of the time, when he does something he's supposed to do he gets more credit than he deserves."
Politico is really claiming that this shows no signs of embarrassment or jealousy.
On X, Biden -- who is undergoing treatment for cancer -- said that he was "deeply grateful and relieved" that the Gaza war is approaching its end.
"The road to this deal was not easy," the Democrat wrote. "My Administration worked relentlessly to bring hostages home, get relief to Palestinian civilians, and end the war."
But Biden also gave Trump credit for getting "a renewed ceasefire deal over the finish line."
LOL. Biden brought the ball 90 yards to the 1-yard line and Trump merely punched it over the goal-line, huh?
"Now, with the backing of the United States and the world, the Middle East is on a path to peace that I hope endures and a future for Israelis and Palestinians alike with equal measures of peace, dignity, and safety," he concluded.
On Monday, Blinken said Trump's 20-point peace plan for the Gaza Strip was based on one developed by the Biden administration.
In a lengthy post on X, Blinken, who served in the Biden administration, outlined how Trump was able to secure the peace agreement. He noted that Arab states and Turkey have said "enough" to Hamas, and said the response also showed that other Iran-backed groups -- Hezbollah and Yemen's Houthi rebels -- were not coming to Hamas' aid.
"It starts with a clear and comprehensive post-conflict plan for Gaza," Blinken wrote. "It's good that President Trump adopted and built on the plan the Biden administration developed after months of discussion with Arab partners, Israel and the Palestinian Authority."
Blinken said the Biden administration briefly secured a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in January, resulting in the release of 135 hostages before the deal fell apart.
He also questioned how Trump could secure a permanent peace plan.
Biden thinks he deserves credit because of his "plan" for peace. This plan for peace being, we should have a peace plan.
Wow, what a foreign policy genius.
But that's like a football coach saying that his plan for a victory is that he thinks his team should wind up with more points than the other team.
Via Ed Morrissey, the WSJ reports that Trump's plan was a touch more developed than that. Since his inauguration, Trump has begged and bullied and bought off all of Hamas' supporters, diplomatically isolating Hamas, and getting even its backers in Qatar to tell it to take this deal or else we're done with you and you're on your own.
Egypt and Qatar told Hayya the deal was his last chance to end the war, according to the officials. They pressed Hamas to understand that holding the hostages was becoming a strategic liability, giving Israel a source of legitimacy to keep fighting.
The next day, joined by Turkey, they warned him that if Hamas didn't approve the plan it would be stripped of all political and diplomatic cover; Qatar and Turkey would no longer host the group's political leadership, and Egypt would stop pressing for Hamas to have a say in Gaza's postwar governance, the officials said.
It was enough to get Hamas to agree to release all its hostages in Gaza and sign on to the first part of Trump's peace deal, giving up what had been its most important bargaining chip to keep a seat at the table. While modifying its acceptance with heavy caveats that reflected its concerns about the deal, Hamas had given Trump an opportunity to declare victory and set the stage for a hostage release early this week.
Trump's plan: Isolate Hamas and bully its patrons into forcing it to take the deal
Biden's "Plan:" Draw up a list of "Nice to Have" wants
Joe Biden has praised Donald Trump for his success in negotiating a peace deal which allowed the 20 remaining Hamas survivors to return home.
But he also tried to take some credit for the monumental deal, claiming his administration had laid the groundwork for Trump to negotiate.
'The road to this deal was not easy. My Administration worked relentlessly to bring hostages home, get relief to Palestinian civilians, and end the war,' Biden said in a statement to X on Monday.
...
Supporters gathered in the streets to celebrate their hostages coming home
Trump has been hailed a hero in Israel as Israelis celebrate the release of the hostages
He later addressed a peace summit with global leaders where he called for a new era of harmony in the Middle East.
'We have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to put the old feuds and bitter hatreds behind us,' Trump said, and he urged leaders 'to declare that our future will not be ruled by the fights of generations past.'
The whirlwind trip, which included the summit in Egypt and a speech at the Knesset in Jerusalem earlier in the day, comes at a fragile moment of hope for ending two years of war between Israel and Hamas.
'Everybody said it's not possible to do. And it's going to happen. And it is happening before your very eyes,' Trump said alongside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi.
Nearly three dozen countries, including some from Europe and the Middle East, were represented at the summit. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was invited but declined, with his office saying it was too close to a Jewish holiday.
Trump promised to help rebuild Gaza, and he urged Palestinians to 'turn forever from the path of terror and violence.'
'After tremendous pain and death and hardship,' he said, 'now is the time to concentrate on building their people up instead of trying to tear Israel down.'
Israelis have little doubts about whether it is Biden and Blinken or Trump, Rubio, and Witikof who deserve credit:
Israeli lawmakers chanted Trump's name and gave him standing ovation after standing ovation. Some people in the audience wore red hats that resembled his "Make America Great Again" caps, although these versions said "Trump, The Peace President."
And Trump blasted Biden and Obama for their failures and weakness:
But Trump also took the opportunity to lay blame on former Democratic presidents for their failure to stabilize the region.
'All of the countries in the Middle East that could have what we're doing now, it could have happened a long time ago, but it was strangled and set back almost irretrievably by the administrations of Barack Obama and then Joe Biden,' Trump said.
'There was a hatred towards Israel.'
'Nobody asked Joe Biden to come up and speak, I guarantee you that,' he added.
Even this graceless, charmless hag realized that it is self-defeating (and self-revealing) to attempt to deny credit to Team Trump:
Trump's former presidential competitor Hillary Clinton also praised the deal at the weekend.
'It's a really significant first step and I really commend Trump and his administration,' Clinton said on CBS News.
On the other hand, there's America's First Homosexual President, the graceless Kenyan Muslim Obama.
He refused to even mention Trump in noting the hostage deal. Even CNN's low-IQ shill Abby Philip thought this was petty, even by the low, base standards of the narcissistic homosexual Obama.

ABC's James Longman on this historic day in world history:
"I think today what I've been mostly struck by is Donald Trump's sheer force of personality. There are not many men, not many leaders who can walk into the Knesset in Israel to such rapturous applause, such a warm welcome to clearly know so many members of the Israeli leadership so personally. He's been in the weeds on this and then, less than an hour later, appear in a room of world leaders, Arab and Muslim leaders and have the same kind of warm welcome. It really is his force of nature which has managed to make this happen. I mean, I was struck that he was standing on that stage here in Sharm el-Sheikh, welcoming world leader after world leader, many of whom he's had his disagreements with, as we know. And it wasn't President Sisi of Egypt doing that. It was him. He is front and center here. It's his force of will. He has said what he wants to happen. He's laid out this 20-point plan. The objectives are very clear. And of course, the big question is how we get there."
But Biden deserves credit for Trump's force of personality, huh? (As well as the very, very high-level team he's put into place.)
President Trump closes his historic Knesset address with a vision that left the entire chamber on its feet.
Before the applause thundered through the Knesset, he gave Israel--and the world--a glimpse of what lasting peace could look like.
"So now we're going to forge a future that is worthy of our heritage. We're going to build a legacy that all the people of this region can be proud of."
"New bonds of friendship, cooperation and commerce will join Tel Aviv to Dubai, Haifa to Beirut, Jerusalem to Damascus, and from Israel to Egypt, from Saudi Arabia to Qatar, from India to Pakistan, from Indonesia to Iraq, from Syria to Bahrain, Turkey to Jordan, the United Arab Emirates to Oman and Armenia to Azerbaijan."
"Another war that I just settled."
"We are going to have hope, harmony, opportunity and happiness here in the spiritual and geographic center of the entire world. That's what you are."
"Israel, America, and all of the nations of the Middle East will soon be safer, stronger, greater, and more prosperous than ever before."
"Thank you very much. God bless you. God bless the United States of America and God bless the Middle East."
The President of the United States, speaking peace into a region once defined by endless war.
Historic.
Meanwhile, the degenerate communists of the media and Democrat Party (but I repeat myself) insist that Trump is in the grips of a Biden-like physical and mental decline...

Bombast and hyperbole are some of the hallmarks of president Trump's communication, but the reality of his administration's policies are quietly impressive.
For instance, this bit of news will get very little airplay among the savagely anti-Trump mainstream media, but it will be a concrete and powerful message to the people who must rely on the President for almost everything, including their lives!
"We have identified funds to do this, and Secretary Hegseth will use them to PAY OUR TROOPS," the president declared. He explained that "our Brave Troops will miss the paychecks they are rightfully due on October 15th," so he was compelled to act.
No big deal for the self-described intelligentsia who live in their cloistered communes on the Upper West Side and Hyde Park and Noe Valley, but a very big deal indeed for a young E4 with a pregnant wife. And perhaps a big deal for that E4's parents, who all of a sudden notice that the President of The United States actually gives a sh*t about the welfare of their son.
That's a powerful message, and one that will go completely unnoticed in those leftist enclaves, because they don't know a single person who is in the armed forces, and very probably don't even know anyone who has ever served!
It's difficult to get past the sound bites and the combative press conferences and find out what the President and his administration are doing. They are methodically dismantling the massive administrative state, and refocusing the government's attention on the people of the United States. Behind much of the loud braggadocio are carefully constructed policies that may not yield immediate results, but will nudge the leviathan in a better direction, while simultaneously flensing the fat from the government whale.
There is a long way to go, and it will take many years, but think of the incredible progress we have made already, less than nine months into President Trump's term!
[Crossposted at CutJibNewsletter and X/Twitter]. If you folks who are on X/Twitter would follow us it would be much appreciated!
The Vermont senator, who has called for a ceasefire for the past two years, also used the moment to call for an end to the US-Israel alliance
So, despite many singing President Trump's praises and nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize, and despite my reservations about exchanging Israeli hostages and the remains of the victims of Islam, for the figurative and literal cutting edge of Islam in the form of hundreds of devout Muslims who observe the Koran by planning plotting and executing the slaughter of Jews in Israel and all over the world. Sadly, 10/7 will happen again, or a number of smaller scale 10/7's will happen over and over that will add up to or exceed the body count of the worst slaughter of Jews since the end of the Second World War.

Gavin Newsom signed into law a requirement that California’s public schools, middle school through college, include the number for the radical Trevor Project’s “LGBTQ+ suicide hotline” on student identification cards. CULTURE WARS, NATIONAL SUICIDE
For generations, Columbus Day stood as a proud national holiday, celebrating the Italian explorer’s daring voyage across the Atlantic, which set the stage for the later establishment of the North American colonies that birthed the United States. His legacy includes the District of Columbia, which hosts the nation’s capital, and the state capitals of Columbus, Ohio, and Columbia, South Carolina—but the man, and his holiday, faced a sustained, relentless assault from woke activists and academics over recent years. ‘Back From the Ashes’ — Why Trump’s Revival of Columbus Day Matters.

"Today sends a clear message that any service which flagrantly fails to engage with Ofcom and their duties under the Online Safety Act can expect to face robust enforcement action," Ofcom enforcement director, Suzanne Cater, said in a statement.
4Chan has responded by suing Ofcom in federal court... In the US.
4Chan could be in more trouble still if they don't kiss the ring:
Starting from tomorrow, 4Chan additionally faces a daily penalty of £100 for either 60 days or until 4Chan complies with the information requests, up to a maximum of £6,000.
Nexperia focuses on boring but necessary products like diodes and transistors. It was spun off from Phillips in 2006 and sold to Chinese interests in two stages in 2017 and 2018.
It also has three downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports, a DisplayPort port, and a 5Gb Ethernet port. And up to a 500W power supply though the basic model only comes with 180W.
It's easy to second-guess our politicians, particularly when they insert themselves into complex and seemingly intractable geopolitical issues.
President Donald Trump has done something in the Middle East that Eisenhower couldn't do, Nixon couldn't do, Reagan couldn't do, the Bushes certainly couldn't do, and we won't even mention Obama and Biden.
He has forged a consensus and ended, at least temporarily, an ugly event in a region that is famous for ugliness. Will Hamas honor the ceasefire? Maybe. Will they return the remaining bodies? Maybe. Will they reconstitute and once again threaten Israel with destruction? Maybe.
But the odds are better now than they have been for the entirety of Israel's existence as a modern nation, and that is a very impressive accomplishment, especially when much of the West is at best ambivalent about President Trump!
There will be time to pick the agreement apart, and I am not holding my breath for a lasting peace, but still, it is far, far better than it has ever been!
It was a stunning achievement in most respects, and the fact that the world isn't clamoring with adulation for President Trump is a sad commentary on the rest of the world, not on President Trump.
I really liked Neil Young for a few years when I was young and stupid. I saw him live at The Greek Theater in Berkeley about 100 years ago, and it was a good show, but after that? Eh...nothing new, just recycled crap from his heyday.
But now he looks and sounds like the drug-addled lunatic on the corner of a seedy part of a shitty blue city. He seems not to have noticed that most people don't know who he is, or even worse, don't care.
This is who Springsteen wanted to be, but he just wasn't honest enough and good enough.

Creedence Clearwater Revival is great. It's easy to minimize them because they were in the same era as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Beach Boys, etc., but they are the equal of those bands. That they are less-well-known is a function of their longevity, or lack thereof!

Eleventh Starship/Superheavy a complete success "On the eleventh orbital test flight today of Starship/Superheavy, SpaceX basically achieved all its engineering goals, with both Superheavy and Starship completing their flights as planned, with Superheavy doing a soft vertical splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico, and Starship doing a soft vertical splashdown in the Indian Ocean." Chris Dreja RIP: of the legendary 60s Rock band The Yardbirds has died at 79.
Dreja co-founded The Yardbirds in 1963; playing rhythm guitar alongside lead axman Tom Topham, singer Keith Relf, drummer Jim McCarthy and bassist Paul Samwell-Smith. The group would go on to feature three of the most celebrated guitarists in rock history in Eric Clapton, who replaced Topham in 1993; Jeff Beck, who took over for Clapton in 1965; and future Led Zeppelin heavyweight Jimmy Page, who joined in 1966; when Samwell-Smith left. I also have no regrets about quitting the increasingly gay James Bond:
