BREAKING School Shooting In Jerusalem/2 Bombings In Baghdad

I put the original post and updates under the fold. Here's the latest (4:40 EST) from the JPost.

Eight people were confirmed dead in a terror attack at Merkaz Harav Yeshiva, near the entrance to Jerusalem on Thursday evening. The attack was reportedly perpetrated by a resident of Jabel Mukaber in east Jerusalem.

Magen David Adom have confirmed 10 wounded civilians, including three seriously. One terrorist was said to have been killed by a student.

Witnesses said that only one terrorist had entered the building and that he managed to fire 500-600 bullets over the course of 4-10 minutes before he was killed.

Hamas has taken "credit" and thousands in Gaza took to the streets to celebrate.

President Bush always said there'd be good and bad days in the war on terror. This is a very bad one.

(Update: Looks like most reports are settling in at 8 dead but obviously this is all subject to change.)

Apparently it's a Yeshvia . So I don't think it's a kids school. According to a police spokesman, a terrorist walked in to a dining hall and opened fire. At least 20 wounded but it happened with in the last 45 minutes or so.

One gunman dead, police are looking into a report of a second terrorist, possibly with an explosive device.

Damn. Just damn.
