The Non-President Biden brokered a brilliant deal that averted the threatened railworkers strike by merely offering workers... a 24% pay increase.
The National Carriers' Conference Committee, which represents the nation's freight railroads said: "The tentative agreements announced today follow the August 16 recommendations of Presidential Emergency Board...which include a 24% wage increase during the five-year period from 2020 through 2024 -- with a 14.1% wage increase effective immediately -- and five annual $1,000 lump sum payments."
Say, didn't we get caught in the 70s in a wage-and-price inflation spiral? Don't worry, Google will hide that evidence for Biden.
Kind of like we're in a recession or something. Will Google allow me to say we're in a recession? Will the FBI arrest me for saying that?
Americans' economic sentiment’s recent uptick was short-lived as the Ipsos-Forbes Advisor U.S. Consumer Confidence Tracker shows a decrease in its main index of 2.2 points from two weeks ago. The index dipped back below the 50-point mark, where it had been from early June until mid-August. It now sits seven points lower than it did at the beginning of the year.
It's now almost as low as it was... during the pandemic.
JustTheNews reports (and I wasn't kidding about the Nigerian scammers, either):
The Small Business Administration gave $1.3 billion in COVID-19 disaster relief to applicants with foreign internet addresses, indicating possible international criminal organization involvement, the agency's inspector general found.
The agency blocked over 110,000 applications from six countries deemed to be "high risk," but not all of the applications from foreign nations, according to the inspector general's report published Monday.
"The numerous applications submitted from foreign IP addresses are an indication of potential fraud that may involve international criminal organizations," the government watchdog group said in its report.
Over 33,000 applications were submitted from Nigeria, and 241 were approved, giving applicants in the African nation nearly $20 million.

The open borders libs all want to be sanctuary cities until it's time to do sanctuary city stuff. 🤡🌎 https://t.co/F8W7BTWYRt
Can't they bring in some FEMA trailers and pup tents?

You're not going to believe this, but Kamala Harris and Karine Jean-Pierre have something else in common, besides being hypercompetent perfectionists who make 100% of the shots they take: they lie about the border, ludicrously.
Tom Cruise is the same age. Two years older, I think.
Some people get lucky, some don't.
In reference to the FWB Chick-fil-A employee who ran to help a woman with a baby who was being carjacked, we want to say a sincere thank you to Ms. Kelner for providing video of a portion of the encounter. (see prior post). A major shout-out to this young man for his courage! pic.twitter.com/2Lcwe46azv
