Jabotinsky Was Correct: Too Bad It Took So Long For Anyone To Realize It
The idea that Israel should defeat the Palestinians in a decisive way is not new. And anyone with any knowledge of history would take seriously the notion that defeat exists in the minds of those defeated, and is a necessary precursor to later success (see: Japan and Germany post 1945).
Why Palestinians Need an Israel Victory
I shall propose an entirely different approach to resolve the conflict, a reversion to the strategy of deterrence and victory associated with Zionism's great strategist, Vladimir Jabotinsky (1880=1940): Israel should aim not to please its enemies but to defeat them. Counterintuitively, I shall show why Palestinians need precisely such an Israel Victory to slough off their current oppression, extremism, and violence, and to become a successful people.
Unfortunately for the Palestinians (that name galls me still...), their sworn enemies are the Jews, and
the world will contort itself into impossible shapes and stances to prevent a Jewish victory.
Personally, I would prefer the borders of modern Israel to be based on the ancient kingdom of Israel...as a start. And the British mandate created a perfectly reasonable Palestinian state called Jordan, which has plenty of land for the Palestinians who chafe under the yoke of Israeli rule.
