UCSD: Defective carbon nano tubes get big self-esteem boost

As an aside, we've been working on some laser fab stuff that could be used to introduce these "defects" in a very controlled manner. Nano tubes aren't our main thrust, but the nano-scale laser processing tech we've been developing has many applications.
