Otherwise the cat could be humiliated. Thanks to Craig. Cartoon from the UK Telegraph.
ConservativeHome also has the story of Tory leader David Cameron rebuking Tony Blair for not doing enough to stamp out Islamic extremism. Also from the Telegraph:
David Cameron broke ranks with the Government over terrorism yesterday, accusing Tony Blair of not doing enough to fight Islamic extremism or protect the nation's security.
...
After meeting senior members of his shadow cabinet, Mr Cameron praised the police and security services for thwarting the "deeply shocking" but "not surprising" plot by "alleged British-born Islamist terrorists".
But he said: "I do not believe that our Government is doing enough to fight Islamist extremists at home or to protect our security."
...
Mr Cameron called for anti-terror laws to be better enforced and "strengthened where necessary, so suspected terrorists and those that incite them are prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned - or, where appropriate, deported".
He questioned why so few Muslim "preachers of hate" had been prosecuted or expelled, and why so little had been done to use the existing law to deal with the radicalisation of British-born Muslims.
I hate to use an American liberals' argument against Bush against Tony Blair, but it does appear that Tony Blair has been quite good on fighting the war on terror abroad, but not very serious about fighting it at home.
It was only recently, for example, that the vile Finsberg Mosque hate-preacher Captain Hook was jailed or deported (forget which).
