Harry and Meghan Claim They're So Popular That Paparazzi Entered a Two Hour Car Chase Trying to Get Their Million-Dollar Pictures

You can get pictures of these two Fame-Chasers any time you want. Why would you risk your license, and your life, to get a picture?

Here's the claim, from their spokesman:

"Last night, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms. Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi. This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers," a spokesperson told Yahoo. (Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, was with them.) "While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone's safety."

To escape these dangerous paparazzi, the Non-Royal Couple exited their car and got into a taxi, to lose their relentless hunters.

Here's what their taxi driver says about this "nearly catastrophic" gear-grinding, rubber-burning, metal-screaming chase through the streets of the most congested city outside of Tokyo:

Meghan, Harry and Ragland jump into a taxi cab. The driver, Sukhcharn Singh, later tells the Washington Post he drove the group a block and a half west to Park Avenue before heading south. He says they were pursued by two vehicles.

"They kept following us and were coming next to the car," he recalls. "They took pictures as we stopped and were filming us."

The couple's security told Singh to return to the precinct. The driver estimates that they were in the cab for 10 minutes.

"I don't think I would call it a chase," the driver notes. "I never felt like I was in danger. It wasn't like a car chase in a movie. They were quiet and seemed scared but it's New York -- it's safe."

LOL. You two are so f'n' sad and awful, you have to lie to get attention.

Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan say they were in 'near catastrophic' car chase with paparazzi

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were involved in a harrowing "car chase" fueled by paparazzi Tuesday, their spokespeople said.

The couple's office said the pair and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, were followed for more than two hours by half a dozen vehicles after leaving a charity event in New York on Tuesday.

Their team said in a statement to USA TODAY Wednesday that the chase to capture photos of the couple "resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers." The statement called the incident "near catastrophic."

"While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone's safety," their office said. "Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all in involved."

Julian Phillips, deputy commissioner of public information for the New York Police Department, told USA TODAY in an emailed statement that the NYPD assisted in protecting the duke and duchess along with their private security team.

"There were numerous photographers that made their transport challenging," Phillips said. "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at their destination and there were no reported collisions, summonses, injuries, or arrests in regard."

"Made their transport challenging" can just mean that Meghan and Harry gave orders to the cops to get away from the paparazzi. The police do not say the paparazzi did anything illegal or dangerous -- just that the situation, probably due to the hysterical overreaction of Meghan and Harry, was "challenging."

Megan Kelly thinks they're lying about this incident based on a statement by police that they have "no information" about this incident, despite getting many calls about it.

NBC also reported that they were unable to confirm the "harrowing" car chase ever took place.

Note that this entire story is concocted to remind people of Princess Diana.

Meghan Markle has been blatantly, and creepily, has been playing the Vertigo-like doppleganger of Princess Diana since she marriage-trapped her Sad Ginger Prey.
