The Morning Rant: Thune Needs To Go!

What has the vaunted United States Senate done for us lately? Remember, they are the self-described "greatest deliberative body on the planet!"

They have done nothing. And the only substantive effort they have made has been to keep the Senate in pretend session to prevent a sitting president from recess appointments to the various administrative departments. That is an abuse of the process, that is an abuse of their political mandate, and that is an abuse of the American people.

How does a Republican majority in this senate differ from a Democrat majority?

They have deliberated nothing other than faux issues and nonsensical pronouncements. They have subverted the will of the American people, and have obfuscated and delayed and flat-out lied. And those lies have mostly come from the cartoonish fake-statesman Thune. He is a craven weasel whose political philosophy begins and ends with his personal aggrandizement, and the wishes of his benefactors, which is a fancy term for "owners." And who are they? Pharma! Health Care! Goldman Sachs! And, weirdly, a bunch of auto dealers! And for a senator who is not up for reelection, why does he have $17 million cash on hand? For a small state like South Dakota?

Thune Has Tried Nothing To Pass The SAVE Act And He's All Out Of Ideas

Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., said Tuesday “We don’t have the votes to get rid of the filibuster” as his defense for why he won’t get the SAVE America Act passed. Lucky for Thune, he doesn’t need to “get rid of the filibuster” to pass the SAVE America Act, but he already knows that — he just doesn’t want to pass the legislation at all.

Cui Bono? Who benefits from our country's slide into 3rd world sh*thole status, courtesy of illegal voting? The Democrat junta obviously. But why would Thune support the continuation of this destruction of our constitutional republic and its conversion into a majority-rule "democracy" without any of the checks and balances that have defended our freedoms for 250 years? Is it as simple as Thune's desire for the status quo, which makes his life quite easy, but will ultimately destroy our republic?

If so, he might be even sleazier and amoral than the typical senator, and that is saying a lot.
