"The FBI is actively tracing the money trail," former FBI Executive Assistant Director Chris Piehota told Just the News, explaining that law enforcement is likely targeting the financial and logistical support structures behind the riots. "They have become professional rabble-rousers...financed around the country to show up at different events and cause problems," he added.

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) said he believes the protests are being manipulated by foreign interests. "They hate this country," Biggs said Monday. "Not a doubt in my mind" that foreign actors, including Mexico's government, are helping to stoke the unrest. He pointed to President Claudia Sheinbaum's past statements about mobilizing against U.S. immigration policy as evidence.

One organization helping lead the initial protests was CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights), which staged one of the earliest rallies last week and is part of a broader progressive activist network. Though CHIRLA claims it did not participate in the violence, it has drawn attention for its heavy reliance on taxpayer funding.

According to state filings, CHIRLA received nearly $34 million in 2023, most of it from California state contracts. The Biden administration had also awarded the group nearly $200,000 in federal grants before President Trump terminated that funding earlier this year.

Meanwhile, far-left activist groups like the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), with known ties to the Chinese Communist Party, have also taken credit for organizing the protests. PSL is part of a broader web of anti-American groups tied to Neville Roy Singham, a pro-CCP billionaire who resides in Shanghai and has poured millions into leftist causes across the United States, including anti-ICE and anti-Israel demonstrations.

Federal agents have tracked down a suspect who violently attacked law enforcement during the weekend's anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed Monday night. The man, identified by Bondi as "Reyes," was allegedly seen on video breaking cinderblocks and hurling the fragments at federal officers amid the chaos.

"That guy has just been identified, and they are doing a search warrant on his house as we speak," Bondi announced during an appearance on Hannity. She described Reyes as "still at large," but made clear he would soon be placed on the FBI's most wanted list.

The Los Angeles field office of the FBI had previously announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect, who is wanted for assaulting a federal officer and damaging government property.

Bondi emphasized that the attack wasn't incidental, recounting how the suspect "was breaking up the cinder blocks and he was throwing them" directly at federal law enforcement officials. "He has been identified by great police work by the FBI," she said. "So you can run. You can't hide. We are coming after you, federally."

Bondi's remarks also served as a broader message to other rioters and agitators involved in the weekend unrest. "If you assault a police officer, if you rob a store, if you loot, if you spit on a police officer, we're coming after you," she warned.
