Monkeypox is Spreading Through the Gay and Bisexual Communities -- But the CDC Can't Recommend a Lockdown for Orgies

Feels a lot like AIDS, when the NIH, headed by, what's this?, Anthony Fauci would not shut down gay bathhouses or even recommend doing so, but did tell straight women to insist that straight men use dental dams when they went down on them.

Our public health authorities will do anything -- anything! -- if it saves one life.

Except tell a member of a noisy leftwing political constituency that they're going to have to give up a pastime they enjoy, like rioting during a pandemic or orgies during a pox pandemic that is easily spread by close contact, as occurs during sex.

Democrat officials on the east and west coasts condemned the Biden administration's failures to distribute the vaccine for preventing the spread of monkeypox in sufficient quantities. In California, officials in San Francisco fear widespread increases in the number of cases while New York City officials report a spike in infections.

California State Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) released a statement on Wednesday warning local health officials report they would run out of monkeypox vaccine later in the week.

"Today, the San Francisco Department of Public Health announced that the Department is about to run out of monkeypox vaccine," Senator Wiener said in a written statement. "Its San Francisco General Hospital monkeypox vaccine clinic will be temporarily suspended after today (Wednesday)."

The senator said the exhaustion of the vaccine supply comes as San Francisco and other communities see increases in monkeypox infections and exposures.

"We need to be very clear where the responsibility lies for this completely avoidable situation: the federal government," Wiener stated. "Failure to control this outbreak will result in intense -- and completely unnecessary -- misery for many people, particularly gay and bisexual men."

At the other end of the country, New York City officials report the monkeypox virus is spreading at a rapid pace, Breitbart News reported. Cases in New York City account for a full 30 percent of all cases in the United States -- 170 cases during the first two weeks of July.

NYC Health published a chart breaking down the demographics of the monkeypox cases in the city. Men account for 321 of the 336 reported cases (95.5 percent) as of July 13, the report states. The report states that no women contracted the virus during the reporting period. Health officials attributed the remaining to TGNCNB (Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Non-Binary) (7 cases), and Unknown (8 cases).

Okay, yes, I understand the need for vaccines and I'm with you.

But I seem to remember that under covid, the government was also very aggressive about pushing non-medicinal interventions, like forbidding certain behaviors as well as outlawing groups larger than ten.

Note that monkeypox is not technically a sexually transmitted disease, but it is transmitted by close skin-to-skin contact, and that can only occur in a handful of human interactions. Sex, of course. Brazilian jiu-jitsu and wrestling. Other kinds of contact sports.

And that's about it.

And you can only spread it if you're touching many people in this way. A man and wife can't spread it to each other; they'd have to have been infected by skin-to-skin contact from an outside party.

That's why this is mostly being spread by gay men at orgies and raves and through anonymous sex. Sex is a main way to spread it, and you need to be in physical contact with multiple people to both catch it and then retransmit it.

And yet: There are no advisories from the CDC telling gay men to cool it with the orgies and anonymous sex. No stern warnings to... not even go celibate, but just pick one sexual partner for the duration of the pandemic and be monogamous temporarily.

No, that's too much of an imposition on the gay community.

But when this spreads out to the general population, they'll have no problem telling us our kids will have to remain locked in their homes for a year, will they?

The below posting from a gay orgy-goer is instructive.

I'm going to edit this to take out the truly vile stuff, but what's here will give you the gist of it.

BabethePigBoi @BabeRogersxxx Hi so I have monkeypox. Not fishing for any sort of sympathy, but since I'm already know for being pretty unabashed on the internet, I figured I'd give an honest account of how I got it and how my symptoms manifested to hopefully educate anyone curious. So strap in

So this whole saga really begins mid June, when I managed to finally catch Covid. All in all, thanks to a long Covid cough that just wouldn't quit, I ended up completely isolating for 3 full weeks, not being able to have any sex or make any content.

Needless to say I was desperate to get back to work. Like yes I'm a slut and all that but sex is both my life AND my livelihood; if I'm not making content I can't pay my bills.

So I finally got back into the swing of things and attended a friends birthday orgy Saturday the 9th.

As you do.

I had been watching the news on monkeypox but the general feelings on it really were and still are developing by the day. So I nor anyone else was especially worried, especially since there had been only two confirmed cases in my entire county, and this group was all locals. AND the host of that group was a good friend and a nurse, so I trusted their judgement in still having the event happen.

It was a great time, I think I came into sexual content with somewhere in the ballpark of 15-20 different men.

In all the following days once I was back to being sexually active I made sure to check in with my body, to make sure I wasn't experiencing any symptoms, as based on all the research I'd done, mp [monkeypox] was only contagious when you're having symptoms.

The following Monday I was feeling totally fine. Filmed with two daddies, had a great time. Still definitely no symptoms. I knew I had plans made to go to another orgy on Thursday, so I took the days leading up off from sex, to minimize any risk of getting or spreading anything.

So Thursday comes around and by this point I had gotten pretty nervous about mp. Like I said, it seemed like every day the conversation was getting more and more intense. So I spent the whole day doing research and reaching out to medical friends to get their opinions.

Pretty much everyone and everything said the same thing: "there's only a few cases in your county, risks are incredibly low at this point." So I made the educated risk to attend the orgy on Thursday. Wowzers did that blow up in my fucking face in the end.

Gee, maybe a strongly worded CDC advisory telling anyone with monkeypox symptoms to refrain from sex, especially from orgies, would be helpful, no?

But no, the left's constituent groups are never told not to do the things they like doing. If there's a forbiddance needed, then all of society is told to lock down.

So this orgy was a [disgusting type of orgy] thrown by some friends....

It had actually been cancelled the two years prior thanks to Covid, so people were really intent on coming to this one. And plenty of people who were flying into town from all over the place (including places where mp was way more prevalent) were attending this orgy

So I attend the orgy, have a great time. [Deleted.] I think I had sexual contact with around 15 men, similar to the orgy on Saturday. Had a great time, [Deleted.]

On Friday I had a few quick hookups with local guys, 3 total, and on Saturday I have a fourway [Deleted.] Nothing on Sunday, though I did make plans to film the following Thursday rather than on Monday when I usually film, which would turn out to be a good thing

Come Monday, and my cough seems to come back. I don't think much of it as I was still experiencing that intermittent long Covid cough I mentioned, but this was it back with quite the vengeance. I opted to wait until Thursday to do any fucking, just to be sure.

Tuesday is when shit hits the fan. Cough is still bad, but come evening and a wave of exhaustion suddenly hits me. I get in bed around 7:30, thinking maybe I'll get some extra sleep, and I realize I can literally feel the heat coming off my skin; I must have a fever

It's starting to sink in now. I screw my courage to my goddamn sticking place (literally) and reach down and feel around my [butt]. And there it is, little bumps on the inside of my [butt]. I had the pox

I immediately message my doctor and let him know, and tell him I'm going to call my local disease control tomorrow. Stupidly I'm hoping they can retroactively give me the vaccine to at least make this not as severe but if you're already having symptoms there's no point

I just feel worse and worse as the night goes on. I'm scalding to the touch but even under three blankets I couldn't get warm, everytime I stood up my head would throb and the room would spin. And I'm just so so sad and upset, to have this literally right after Covid

...

Tracing it back it's pretty clear I had my exposure at the Thursday orgy with all the out-of-towners, the timing works out exactly right. I'm really not sure at what point I began to be contagious, if it was when my cough got worse or when all those symptoms hit me at once,

Oh you mean the super-spreader event with the out-of-towers who then traveled back to their home cities to spread it to more people via more orgies through their local orgy scenes.

But as far as I can tell I didn't pass it on to anyone, and me having it has actually allowed several other people to be vaccinated so there's at least one silver lining, as well as the fact that by the end of this I'll be immunized myself.

...

My 2 cents: it's reductive to tell gay people to not have sex, it didn't work in the early days of AIDS and clearly it's not working now. But do your best to make educated choices, check your counties case numbers frequently, and if you can, avoid groups and anon encounters.

Well, at least he's saying "avoid group sex and anonymous sex," which the CDC is refusing to say.

@michaelbd

So my church and my kids schools were shut down endlessly for Covid, but CDC can't put out a strong warning for orgies.

No, there will be no such warnings, until monkeypox spreads more and then they will tell us we all have to avoid congregating in groups and the gyms and churches and schools are now closed.

Whoops!

Whoopsie!

Trust the government politician-scientists, guys. The Politician-Scientists are all about "The Science (TM)," and totally not about appeasing different political blocs.

Hey did you know that you can gather in closely-packed mobs to riot while everyone else is locked down because The Science (TM) says The Ghost of St. George Floyd protects you?

Update: Still no warning from Rachel Walensky about gay sexual behavior even after children in a gay household are infected.

The U.S. has confirmed the first two cases of monkeypox in children, Centers for Disease Control Prevention and Control (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky said Friday.

Why it matters: The CDC has said children, especially those under 8 years old, are among those at "especially increased risk" for severe monkeypox disease.

What she's saying: "Both of those children are traced back to individuals who come from the men-who-have-sex-with-men community, the gay men's community," Walensky said at a virtual event with the Washington Post on Friday.

Both children "are doing well," she added.
In a statement, the CDC said the cases are unrelated to one another, and that both are "likely the result of household transmission."
The big picture: Men who have sex with other men remain the most vulnerable to monkeypox, but in some countries that saw outbreaks before 2022, young children died at higher rates from the disease, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Sexual contact is also not the only way the disease can be spread.

Epidemiologists have warned that the risk isn't limited to any one community and that "somebody who is not gay can get it just as easily as someone who is gay."

Really? Just like we were told in the 80s that straights could get AIDS just as easily as those who were gay?

Say, how many sexual partners were/are straights having compared to gay men?

Now I'm not statistician, but it kind of really ups the chances of infection when you have a dozen sex partners in a month, huh? They're saying your odds of getting it per incident are the same as between straights and gays, but if you have 100x more incidents, your accumulated risk is going to be huge.

So: They're lying. Straight-up lying and gaslighting.

AGAIN.

Remember, the experts are all about The Science (TM), you Science-Deniers.

Okay: So they don't want to "stigmatize" a cherished leftwing "community."

So give a warning that anyone who engages in group sex, orgies, anonymous sex, or sex with multiple partners in a month must stop for the duration of the pandemic... whoever that might be.

I mean, total mystery.

But whatever, that gives the warning to everyone.

But they won't do that, because, just like rioting, this is an activity beloved by part of the leftist coalition and therefore The Science (TM) has determined it has Special Value which outweighs the public health.

Not even a "15 days to stop the spread." It's just too much of an imposition when the lockdown affects a protected constituency of the left.
