First-World Problems...

Awful photo, but that is the end of the grilles that modern windows use to fake the look of traditional divided windows without sacrificing most of the efficiency.

And they suck. They are usually made out of wood, but they are thin and warp and flex with changes in temperature and humidity, so they never fit quite snugly enough to look perfect.

And to make matters worse, those little metal clips that slide inside the windows and sit on the ends of the fake grilles sometimes fall out and either get lost or get stepped on...always when one is barefoot.

There has to be a better way! 2,500 years of Western culture and this is the answer? I will not accept this!
