NBC "News:" Narrow-Minded Misogynists Have Always "Policed" the Gender of Female Athletes, So It's No Surprised Misogynists Are Policing the Gender of a Man Named Will "Lia" Thomas
NBC "News" again, publishing more "news" from gender studies professors.
While much has changed for female athletes since Stephens' day, suspicion surrounding [female athletes'] gender and sexuality -- from offensive remarks to sex verification tests -- remains. Several historians argue that the heated debate surrounding transgender college swimmer Lia Thomas, whose record-breaking season has thrust her unwillingly into the national spotlight, is a continuation of that century-old legacy.
"Historically, there's just been a concern that sports would masculinize women or that women might either feminize sports or that you would lose gender distinctions that many people valued," said Susan Cahn, a history professor at the University of Buffalo and the author of "Coming on Strong: Gender and Sexuality in Women's Sport."
Did people in the past question the gender of "female" athletes because of their penises being plainly outlined in their skin-tight onesie?
Because that's the "gender policing" going on with Will "Lia" Thomas.
I'm not a biologist, but I've heard it argued by radical fringe pseudoscientists that people with pensises are men, not women.
She added that trans and intersex athletes -- those who are born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that does not fit the typical "male" or "female" categories -- further blur boundaries and raise questions about how separate and distinct sex and gender really are.
"The dislike of women who appear masculine or seem to compete in ways that are masculine extends to transgender women and intersex people competing as women," Cahn said.
Will "Lia" Thomas is not "intersex." He's a man.
Meanwhile, Brian "Tater" Stelter attempted to argue that the Sexual Left's determination to instruct five year olds in the joys of gay and transgender ideology was not a "culture war" issue.
CNN's Brian Stelter insisted that opposing a Florida bill that would bar schools from teaching children about gender identity and sexual orientation from kindergarten through third grade is "not a culture war"; it is merely supporting "equal rights for everybody in a country." His guest replied that Disney's CEO should have spoken out against the popular legislation more forcefully, since the company is a "moral guardian."
On CNN's "Reliable Sources," Stelter asked why CEO Bob Chapek was "so out of touch" that it took him days "to come to the side of his employees to speak out against Florida's controversial, so-called 'Don't Say Gay' bill" Anti-Groomer bill.
...
Chapek issued two statements before bowing to pressure to condemn the bill (SB 1834), which does not actually bar anyone from uttering the word "gay." Instead, it says that a "school district may not encourage classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in primary grade levels," nor in a way that is not age-appropriate in public secondary schools.
...
Stelter, whose has dedicated his career to policing media speech, said he bristles "when the media calls [the Florida bill] a culture war battle."
"It's not a culture war, talking about equal rights for everybody in a country," Stelter asserted, before immediately reversing himself. "I mean, I guess it is," he said, before concluding, "I'm getting tired of the culture war frame," he added, referring to the issue of teaching children about transgender issues during their first days in school.
Meanwhile: Japan is rejecting this toxic viral mental illness and dunking on the United States for indulging it.

We'll see what the answers are.
If there is no difference between men and women, it's time to end Title IX and all sex-based "equal rights" protections.
