To my surprise, one of my clematis vines is blooming now. Admittedly it is fairly warm in TX, but I've not had any of my clematis vines bloom in Dec before.

I haven't been feeling the best for the last couple of days, and soup has sounded good. Popular Mechanics(!) has an article with eleven soups that can be frozen ahead and thawed out to serve. My aunt used to make carrot soup for big parties. It was delish. Was not exactly like this one. Creamier.
